Super hotel with excellent service. Staff very attentive and professional rooms well furnished and comfortable. The quality of the food could not be faulted and there are plenty of sunbeds available for everyone, just a bit difficult to find around the pool in the morning but always available on the beach and in the gardens which are immaculately kept. The only disappointment was the cost of the drinks in the hotel meaning that guests all went to local bars in the evenings. R Bar on the way to Malia was particularly friendly with good food and excellent prices and very comfy seats.

just returned from a 2 week stay the hotel was lovely and so were the staff but I could count on one hand the number of british in the hotel it was full off germans and russians and we found that the food was catered for the germans. had a bbqs on wed nights but you had to pay extra 22 euros each to go to it and if you didnt there was no choice of food in the restaurant. we found out that that the german tour operators have the monoply on the hotel. On a plus point it was in a great location and on the beach which was lovely and clean. But the fact that there was hardly any english staying there really but me off and I would not go back.

Just returned from a one week stay in this hotel followed by a week cruise. Never written a review before but often use trip advisor to help select hotels etc. Previous reviews were mixed and I did expect the rooms to be of a slightly better standard than they were however the service from cleaning staff was excellent and made up for tired decor. Resort just waking up for summer so grass hadn't been cut and fountain in garden not on initially but this was active within a day or two of our arriving. Pools cool but clean and excellent for swimming outdoors. No problem with towels on sunbeds - it's not allowed. Stones throw from beach which had ample water sports if you are in to that kind of thing. Buffet type dining was very good, lots of choice and checked regularly for temperatures etc.Half empty food trays taken away and replenished regularly with fresh food. No upset tummies which was great. Waiting staff especially the two girl at the entrance to the restaurant were lovely, friendly and so helpful. Greek night on Wed evenings - entertainment and buffet style barbie - much more Greek options in food but not really worth the extra cost as you could see entertainmaent from balconies above the area it was held in and have meal in main restaurant as normal. Dancing later in evening was available to everyone anyway as were fireworks. Most of entertainment in hotel bars was predominantly geared to German guests. My hubbie and I used the sauna and steam room every day. It was free from 5pm to 6pm however they only put it on at 5pm so didn't really get up to temperature. Adequate gym facilities which I used every day as I did the indoor pool. Only one there - so had peace to have a decent swim. Overall hotel very good 3* - need to revamp and add on some other luxury items to attain 4* for me. By the way health and beauty available but very pricey. Would go back and would recommend location - handy for beach but would imagine Stalis being a party animals paradise later in the season. We had been to Crete before so visited Kritsa, Spilli, AG. Nicholais, Mohos . Elounda etc - car essential to see real Crete

Many people have complained that this hotel eemed to be a majority German and that they should have been warned. Well, this I can agree with. However, I was quite pleased as there were no lager louts hanging around the pool making fools of themselves in their Union Jack boxer shorts. There was no issue about fighting for a sun lounger as there were so many! We pretty much kept ourselves to ourselves and we were left to get on with it. The breakfast was plentiful and the room was clean and very pretty. We paid extra for a sea view and it was breath-taking. I would certainly go there again but not with children. I can appreciate that the kids clubs might be a bit of a waste if they are run by German speaking employees.

Tip- don't stay in Stalis of you want to see authentic Greece. The main street is alarmingly filled with English pubs with the occasional taverna inbetween!

We had a lovely holiday here, the staff were really friendly and made a real fuss over our 5 month old son. The resort is beautifully kept and enjoys a lovely sandy beach.
There were 2 downsides to our experience however: firstly the beds are all twins and not comfortable at all; secondly, the car hire in the hotel Olympic Elite was awful, our car had clearly not been cleaned or maintained all season (as you find your car yourself in the car park there is no one to complain to especially as the girl dashes off as soon as she can!) and we came close to an accident due to an empty windscreen wash which the company was very dismissive of when we complained. DO NOT USE! We found a great guy down the road called Manolis at Euromotor he took real pride in his cars and service and as it's his own business you know he really cares.

Just spent two weeks at this hotel which we researched first on TripAdvisor before booking (well worth a browse before any hotel stay).
We enjoyed a relaxing two weeks in this hotel- good view of sea and mountains from our balcony, very tidy and clean with maid service daily. Food was plentiful, huge array at breakfast of everything from cooked breakfast to cerials, fruits, cheese, meats and breads. Evening food also had a great choice of mostly German and some Greek dishes.
Room was compfortable, choice of three pools including a quiet pool and small beach area. No charge for beach chairs- brill, also free internet access. Tennis courts- 6 Euro an hour.
Stalis nearby was a bit touristy, English pubs etc but a number of good restaurants. However, Malia (about 1Km) is a little bit of young Essex in Crete, nightclubs, pubs and fast food.
Hotel was international with mostly German visitors, some English, Russian and French.
The only down side to the hotel is the organisation at meal times. Because there are fewer tables than guests, you are allocated a specific table to sit at a set meal time in the evening. You will also be asked to share this table with fellow guests at the earlier sitting (6.15pm- 8.00pm). At breakfast it is a bit of a bunfight to get a table.
The staff were mainly very friendly, especially the waitresses, unfortunately we found one waiter quite surly.
If they sorted out the restaurant- so you could eat at any time, we would be tempted back.

Just got back from staying in this hotel for 11days, overall the expereince was brilliant, deffinatly go back to Crete and also stay at this particular hotel.

The staff at the hotel were lovely, polite and quick at serving, there is not much that i could fault about the hotel. The only downside to the hotel was the food in the restaurent, there wasnt a varied choice to the meals that were provided mostly fish, however there were some traditional Greek dishes on offer. However this only a minor fault to the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurents outside the hotel which are cheap and traditional.

There was 8 people in our party as we arrived early hours in the morning our rooms were made up and being checked in and shown to the rooms was all done within mintues there were no difficulties or slow service.

The hotel is right on the beach front and very close to two towns. Staff and local people outside the hotel in bars and restaurents are also very friendly, they make you feel very welcome in crete.

There are three pools in the hotel, each with there our sun loungers, you can also get fresh beach towels from the spa everyday if you put down a deposit of 20 euros which is refunded at the end of your stay once you have returned all towels. There is free internet access at the hotel, require at reception about this.

It is deffinatly worth while to hire a car and take a few trips away from the hotel while staying in crete, i visited spinalonga island which is only a short drive from the hotel, the is also a Water City park which is very enjoyable and alot of fun for all the family. On the beach from there is also water sports activities that are also worth doing for an added experience to your trip.

Overall the holiday was relaxing and very enjoyable.
