“JUST PERFECT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was just perfect
We travelled as a couple with two little kids, age of 6 and 4. The ambassador villa was perfect for us. Great space .clean. Great view to the city and the sea.

Very helpful staff, very nice and kind, ready to help with everything. The kids had a great time, even it was a bit cold for the pool. The breakfast was fine
And nice. We had a great time and we recommend this hotel , it is very relaxing and enjoying.

Room Tip: Just go there

My wife and I spent 7 nights in one of the ambassador villas with private pool and sea view. The accommodation was phenomenal and the service was first class. I cannot fault the holiday and the Malia old town was a hidden gem, full of traditional tavernas, serving fantastic food. Stablos and Elisabeth is definitely worth a visit and the moussaka was Devine. The hotel was worth every penny and we will return. It is at the top of a hill so definitely recommend a car or it's a few euro in a taxi to the centre of Malia. A most memorable and perfect holiday. Thank you Royal Heights.

My husband and myself have just returned from our holiday in this hotel....my brother and Sister-in-law also came with us, and we stayed in 2 of the sea view promo rooms. The hotel, the views, the food, and the grounds, I can only describe as 'stunning'. The staff are all extremely friendly and polite, and they were always very accommodating.
Extremely clean, and daily maid service, which is excellent. Room service and mini bar also available, and we had complimentary fruit and wine on our arrival, which was lovely.
As this hotel is situated in the hills of Malia, which overlooks the magnificent views, I can only recommend that a car is hired, although taxis are approx 7 Euros per journey, to and from the hotel into the town. We hired a car and did a lot of site-seeing around the island.
We booked this hotel on a self catering basis, but, whilst there, and sampling the food on our first night, we booked the remainder of the stay as half board (food fantastic, and we made the chef aware of this on the last night of our holiday).
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will almost certainly return...well worth the 5 star rating, if not more ;-)

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, whether a promo, deluxe or villa ;-)

Just returned from a 11 night break at this resort, and all i can say is we will deifnately be returning to this resort again. Four adults shared 2 promo rooms which were modern, well decorated and had everything in you would require including air con and a fabulous hydro bath. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and were spotless. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after. We had originally decided on self catering but after seeing the al a carte menu on the first night we decided to pay for the half board option which included a buffet style breakfast with enormous choice and a four course evening meal from the menu. Yannis and Thanasis worked tirelessly all night and pampered to our every need and all food was of a very high standard. The view from the restaraunt was magnificent especially during a perfect sunset. Due to the resort consisting of villa type properties with their own pool the main large kidney shaped pool was very quiet and at times we had the pool all to ourselves. Costas the barman was always on hand to provide a well deserved beverage during the hot afternoons. My only critisism is that the pool has a open policy and on a couple of afternoons reps from malia were on site quite rowdy and crude. This took away that exlusivity feel to the hotel and if i wanted that type of holiday i would have stopped in Malia. This however was rarely and did not take anything away from a must go too resort. Overall a wonderful holiday resort with wonderul staff and facilities. P.S if using holiday taxis for your transfers you will be dropped in Malia and then you must take a Taxi to the resort at a cost of 10 euros each way.

Room Tip: Pay a little more for a villa / suite

My partner, son and myself stayed here for 10 nights in August. What an amazing hotel it is. All of the reviews, write up's etc were all true to their word. We booked our airport transfer direct with the hotel, and the taxi was waiting for us on our arrival ( with bottles of water may I add ). Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by George ( very very helpful, polite, well mannered lovely man ), who also showed us to our villa. He went through it in thorough detail and told us if we had any problems to contact him at reception.
Because we arrived later in the evening we were too late for our dinner, but in our fridge we were left 3 Greek Salads, Fresh fruit and bottles of water.
The food in the hotel was out of this world, and probably one of if not the best food I have ever eaten in a Foreign Hotel. The breakfast was buffet, with plenty to choose from, and the evening meals were A La Carte, ( even my son loved the food, and discussed at meal times what he would be having the day after ). Also the staff were wonderful.
The villa was immaculate. Cleaned every day, and left fresh pool and bath towels every day. The beds were very comfy, the Jacuzzi bath was amazing and so was the air con. The private pool and surrounding area was brilliant, and the swimming pool was a fair size.
The main communal pool, which we only used once was beautiful, very spacious and very peaceful. The same with the Spa.
The only downfall with this hotel is that there is no shop onsite, but this didn't bother us as we were only a short taxi ride into town for the local supermarkets.
We would definitely without a doubt return to this hotel, in fact we have been looking for next year already.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for those who are looking for a relaxing break.

Just come back from a fantastic 2 week break at the Royal Heights. Having read all the positive reviews prior to arriving, we had high expectations, so were worried that we would end up being disappointed. Thank goodness that was not the case!
From the moment we arrived (at 11pm) George and the rest of the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Any question was answered & nothing was to much for them.
We stayed in one of villas (301), and unlike the complaints on other reviews, we had no problems with the internet connections.
We hired a car through Artemis Car Hire (recommended & set up by George), very reasonable rates.
The food could not be faulted & if you felt like having dinner out you could swap your half board dinner for lunch.
As previously recommended we spent a day in Sissi, lovely little village with a quirky little beach. Great day!!
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are looking to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, but if it takes your fancy, close enough to Malia for a lively night out!!!

We spent 12 days half board at Royal Heights: the apartment was large enough for the 2 adults and 2 teens (who shared the sofa-bed) in our party. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Evenings included drinks sitting over the pool in the coastal breeze watching sunsets over the hills and excellent meals. We wanted to eat out occasionally, and the Maitre D' switched our half-board to lunchtime on those days.

Only drawback for us was the open pool policy, which meant noisy Brits coming up from the Malia Strip: bad language and football games disrupting the peaceful ambiance.
