we went in july 2012 for 2 weeks and we had a good holiday but the room was a tip. we were put in a room which was dangerous enough to get to when sober nevermind with a few drinks! when we arrived, there were hairs all over the floor. definitely hadn't been cleaned. the floor wasnt cleaned for the whole 2 weeks we were there. we had ants crawling through the wall all over the worktop and all over the floor! it was meant to be 'self catering' but we had one pot, a pasta drainer and no utensils! the 1st 3 nights we got told off for sitting on the balcony chatting and playing music after 11 when we weren't even loud. was ridiculous! you have to walk to your room in complete silence or you are told to be quiet! the security man with dark hair is a right perv! the hotel is a good 30 min walk from the beach. the bar staff were nice 1st week but not so nice 2nd! the manager is fine aslong as u don't break anything and you stay on his good side! wouldn't recommend malia for 2 weeks- bit repetitive, but good for one week. request a room above the reception as they are nicer than rooms in the further away buildings. definitely recommend the silent disco in candy for a gd night out!

Just back from Malia and had an amazibng holiday :)

Hotel is great and all the staff are lovely. Management very pleasant and the bar staff are fab..Really get u in the party mood. Didnt eat much of the hotel food but what I ate was good. George's pizza however are amazing :) 1euro a slice or 5 euro a pizza..Only problem with hotel was the cleaning of our room.. Towels n bedding changed after 4 days, as was bins yuk.. Bathroom had a once over wipe and all floors brushed once i think.. Back of furniture the floors were so dirty and our balcony was dirty when we got there and never cleaned once.. This didnt spoil out holiday but its important to have cleanliness while away...

Pool area nice but small, but still had fun..Music played throughout the day and every1 just having a good time..
Bar area and toliets very clean and nice
10-15min walk to start of strip and at least 20mins to beach... No big deal to us :)..
Old village has 2 lovely places to eat, which are only 5 minutes away from hotel.. Toto Lotto and St Georgias..

Being end of season the hotel was quieter than normal, but not dead.. Still plenty of people there and i actually prefered it wasnt mega busy.. Met some great people here and we all had a great time :)

Big hello to all the staff..U all know who u r..U made our holiday great thank u..

After reading previous review i was dreading the worst, but how wrong was i? On arrival Van gives you a list of the rules, which isn't that long, 70 euros for safe and air con for the week is well worth the spend, would really recommend that.
Once settled in our rep came to see us and informed us of free drink and pizza slice downstairs in bar, Bar prices are good and they do deals between certain times cannot complain at all and the bar staff are just lovely. Food though is basic but nice. Would recommend attending bbq good laugh and loads of nice food.
All communal areas are spotless and to top it all off there's a pizza place joined to hotel and George is so meticulous while making pizza's and they are just amazing!!
Our room was spacious and the balcony was massive, it was good as there was 3 of us and we weren't tripping over each other.
Only thing that i have to say let the hotel down was the maid service... she came every couple of days but you wouldn't have thought it, our bins weren't emptied and the one in the bathroom really needed emptied and wasn't emptied once, i also left rubbish bagged up to be taken away but it wasn't, oh and the sheets weren't changed once, its the small things that really stick out in your mind, but apart from the maid service i cant fault this hotel and we'll be back again next year, especially for the pizza!!

Iv just got back from four seasons today and had an amazing time in Malia.the strip was amazing. The hotel it's self was nice staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The pool is nice but a on the small side. The rooms....... If your lucky enough to get a room on the third floor then your in luck these rooms are amazing and just been done up. My room with my friend was tiny....!!!!the sheets were awful a horrible grey colour and only changed once since being there same with the bin in the toilet that's disgusting. The cutlery looked like they hadn't been washed in ages same with the pots and the cooker/ hob. Over all we did have an awsome time in Malia and the hotel just shame about the room....xxxxx

Just want to thank the manager and staff here for looking after my daughter and niece after they were mugged on their way back home from a night out.
It was reassuring as a mum to know they were being looked after

wen me and the girls first got there van gave us a list of rules , me and the girls were a lil worried after this talk , however once this was over he gave us free drinks at the bar and slice of pizza ( which is just a 1 euro great for the end of the night ) , and every night since then he looked after ours keys and had laugh and a joke with us all night..

Make sure u take an extra 70 euros for the safe and air con which is well worth it ! After Vans meeting we had a meeting with our reps , and booked a few of the trips which were great as we met the whole of the hotel and got to go out all together !! Reps were awesom, bar staff were amazing really look after you ! the bbq is also a must .

The hotel is a walk from beach and we did have to pay for new towels , but we did cover them in neon paint so we wasnt botherd about paying as they were ruined , just make sure u dont ruin ur towels and sheets other than that you will have amazing time

xxxxx

Just returned from a week in Malia with 7 other lads. Please don't let this review put you off as we had an amazing holiday, but I would like to give you a true frank representation of this dive, as I read such reviews in great detail and find them highly useful.
Hotel facilities whilst basic, we're sufficient. If you're like us, you'll use this as a base, and you'll find you have everything you need.
The location is not the best, but is bearable for a week. I read reviews about it being miles out. A decent 10 min walk from the strip would be more accurate.
We had 3 rooms, each were vastly different from one another 307 had a fantastic balcony, which would have been great had we been allowed to use it. 310 was ok, and 221 was very large.
The pool was small but good, and bar fantastic as it was open 24/7.
Upon arrival we were given a thorough dressing down from whom I presume was the owner, we're not rowdy lads, and are not the sort to cause trouble. As soon as we walked through the door, he took our passports off us and ran through his long list of rules and threats-a great way to set and impression and make them feel welcome, also exactly what we wanted when we arrived at 3am exhausted after a long days travelling! His moodiness and patronizing behavior persisted for the whole week.
The bar staff on a whole we largely friendly. We were greeted with free drinks upon our first visit to the bar. Reading through other reviews, the consensus seems that everyone loves the bar staff! The girls were great fun and friendly, the big lad was such a laugh, but the other bloke came across as a bit of a sleaze but again was a nice guy! The plied us with free shots throughout the holiday and couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome.
Our mine gripe was the security guard. He would not allow us to visit friends from our parties room, would persistently intrude our rooms to ensure weren’t doing so, and was generally smug in trying to enforce the ridiculous rules this hotel has in place. It seemed he was power mad wandering round with his torch out, and was very volatile with his mood swings. One minute he’s pretending to be your best mate, and the next he’s talking down to you like a little boy. Whether the language barrier between us exaggerated this, I’m not sure? But there is a way to speak to people, and he simply had no personal skills. Speaking with other guests they were of the same feeling, and throughout the holiday I heard many conversations of the same ilk. He was vastly keen to enforce the 4 seasons ridiculous rules, which included not going on the balcony after 11, drinking in a friends room before heading to the strip, or talking to a girl he is leeching on. If however you want to go to a hotel were the security guard pretty much forces a girl too drunk to know her own name to get undressed in front of a camera, then you’re going to the right place. But for fear he’d do stuff to our belongings I would have told him exactly what I thought of him.
The man is a horrible creature. I shall post a picture for you all to see him!
That aside Malia was amazing. I’m sure there are many nice hotels to stay in within Malia, the four seasons isn’t one!

Room Tip: 307 had a large balcony
