We chose this via Trip Advisor as one of the best eateries in Bad Säckingen.
It took quite awhile to get waited on. 15”?!
The lemonade was weak and watery.
Outdoor seating was wonderful.
Deep frying salmon should be a crime.
Hummus with chicken, eggplant and a bit of tabouli- just plain weird.
Our waitress, once we got noticed was kind and helpful. Our dinners were E19 each. They wouldn’t take my Visa or MasterCard. Bathroom clean and stocked. Indoor seating cozy and subdued.

Wow. After a failed and unpleasant attempt to reserve elsewhere in town, the friendly Mariela answering the phone wasa refreshing change. Our table was ready and pretty, with fresh wild flowers, and embroidered linen cushions right out of grandmother's linen closet. The seats and benches are wood, so this not only looks pretty but also increases comfort. the ingredients are strictly local, with one exception: The meat for their trademark dish of bull's cheeks is imported from Ireland, one of the few countries to allow this "cut". Prepared, of course, in a hearty red from the nearby palatine area. The menue isn't huge, but has some additiions worth asking for. A gazpacho on this summer evening. The dessert menu fits on two plates - in handwriting, that is. English (and French at the table in the corner) explanations are readily available by the friendly and very competent waitresses. Yes, they also had male staff, but they didn't work our table. One of their specialties is a hot stone where you can cook your steak (locally raised beef) - only served outdoors because of the odors involved. Very considerate (like so much in this restaurant)!

Everything was just spot on, food, service, ambience
Starting with a very friendly reception and welcome although we arrived a little late as we had booked a table
The menu is limited but has enough choices for all tastes and a small menu normally is a sign of fresh, local and seasonal fare
Wine suggestions also showed a high degree of knowledge
The service was present and personal but not intrusive or pushy in any way
The ambience is classic timber and shows that it is a well preserved and restored historic building
We spent a great evening there and will be back there as soon as travels allows, well done to all the team at Fuchshoehle

This is one of the best places to eat in Bad Saeckingen. Food is always fresh and very good, not to forget the friendly service. The restaurant is something special with the old painting on the walls.
The food that they serve is from the region and is always depends on the season. You will not go home hungry and unsatisfied!

Perfect place to have a nice meal. Great seasonal varieties of meals and home made lemonade. Also great to go in the afternoon and enjoy the great cakes they have. Inside it is really nice with all the wall paintings. Staff super friendly. Overall great atmosphere.
