I had the opportunity to visit Le Clos du Lac a month ago, during the Christmas season. Based on the pics available, I was certain that this would be a nice place, but nothing prepares you for the real thing! The location is superb, overlooking the lake of Annecy, and the hotel is a recently built, boutique-style little place with fantastic decoration, excellent taste and personal touches from the landlady, Isabelle, on virtually every corner!
This was a 5-night stay, during which we had the opportunity to visit Lyon, Annecy and the surrounding mountains, for some skiing. Isabelle was instrumental in terms of offering very valid advice on all occasions, and this would typically take place during a very well organised and served breakfast, ehere we would taste excellent delicacies, most of them home-made.
This hotel operates mostly in the period from April to October (or so), plus during the Christmas season. This would explain the heating infrastructure, which is air-condition based and not central (actually the only drawback I could think of during the winter season).
I would definitely recommend it to everyone, and am looking forward to the next opportunity for revisiting!More
