As a group of 10 we cycled the Alpe d'HuZes, an event to cycle 6 times the alpe dhuez in one day, to collect money for the cancer foundation.
We stayed in Chalet Saskia for a week ( june ) the place, the staff and the food which Marcus prepared were incredible .
Because of our trainings and this atmosphere, the team succeed climbing the Alpe 42 times.

Thanks again Ton

I took the risk, as someone who has only been skiing for 3 years, of booking a week by myself in Chalet Saskia through Ski Peak. Pam in the office was fantastic and so efficient. The chalet is amazing. The meals produced by Marcus were masterpieces and absolutely delicious. The company was such fun. Great snow. Sunshine. Met many other Ski Peak guests who were staying elsewhere and had a great rapport. I cannot wait to go back. My only negative comments would be that my room might have been slightly small if there had been two of us in it, the heating was set too high and one of the ski guides obviously would have rather been skiing with his friends. The other guides were excellent and very tolerant of my sometimes cautious approach to black runs and moguls.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room with a bathroom

We have stayed in Chalet Saskia for a number of ski-ing holidays and have loved the care and attention paid to us by staff. The amazingly creative and tasty food produced by Marcus would not be out of place in a top London restaurant. He also produces great meals for children. Vaujany is a delightful Alpine village with charm that is not always apparent in other resorts. Chalet Saskia is ideally situated near both the main cable car and the swimming pool but with uninterrupted views across the valley. It is well designed, comfortable and relaxed.

But what we had not appreciated was what a great destination it is for the summer as well. The activities that are available in and around the village would suit any family looking for an action packed summer holiday - mountain hiking with overnight stays in refuges, white water rafting, tennis, cycling and the new via ferrata which involves vertical climbs and rope bridges. All this and then to come back to a 7 course meal - Bliss! Kids clubs are also available at a very reasonable cost. All in all a fabulous holiday and very good value. Will be back once the bruises have faded and the legs have recovered!!

We have stayed at Chalet Sakia many times both in the winter and the summer. For skiing, it is part of the large Alpe d'Huez ski area but unlike Alpe D'huez, Vaujany is a small charming village. It is perfect for families with young children and teenagers as you can safely give them independence. Chalet Saskia as everyone mentions has fabulous food thanks to Marcus who is a gifted and imaginative chef. We have loved our summer holidays even more. We have always had good weather and there are loads of activities such as white water rafting, archery, walking, rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, adventure park and there are kids clubs. I would recommend it for any time of the year so long as we can always get a booking!

The chalet is superbly situated with a terrific view, and our en-suite bedroom was warm and comfortable. The staff are all extremely pleasant and competent, particularly Marcus the chef is a truly gifted enthusiast - all food is freshly prepared and very imaginative; he bakes his own interesting breads; 7-course dinners are a 'tour de force' and the 2 lounge/dining areas in each half of the house are spacious and luxurious. Skipeak's guides were helpful, and judged each day's excursions well, and were good fun to boot. The free heated ski/boot store adjacent to the lifts, minibus lifts anytime if you wanted them, and Vaujany's free underground parking (we were in our own vehicle), all add to the excellent value and completeness of the package.

Stayed xmas 2011, 9 in our party, 6 adults and 3 kids under 6. We had one side of chalet to ourselves. More or less shut offf from others, each room can be locked just like in hotel. Marcus the chef is fantastic, we ate food we would never dream of ordering but we absolutely loved it. Loads for breakfast and xmas gala dinner was out of this world, the courses just kept coming, we have never seen so much cutlery on one table!
Staff are brill, happy to help with anything, food, drink, cleaning, best places to ski and eat.
A few min walk uphill to main lifts, mini bus if needed but we quite enjoyed the walk in the morning and just stopped in the village for a drink before we walked back in the evening. Leisure centre few min walk downhill.
Games room was good for the kids (and adults)!
Thanks for a great holiday Ski Peak.
Would love to go back again, soon!!!

This chalet is amazing! Staff, accommodation and food! Marcus the chef prepares the best food you are ever likely to eat and the staff are so helpful and pleasant. We were a group of 10 adults and 9 children and we had more than enough room, 24 could easily it in. Location is a 5 minute walk from the lifts but they will take you in a mini bus if you are feeling tired. Skis and boots can be left in a locker near to the lifts (FOC) to save any carrying. The chalet has a games room for kids which was ideal and sledges for very snowy days.
It was probably one of the nicest chalets I have ever stayed in and the food was definitely better than anything I have ever had on a ski holiday.
Chalet saskia is complete value for money, the quality of the wines and champagne, all included are outstanding.
Another point to note was the transfer, we had a coach to ourselves that was brand new and luxurious. No waiting around or other people just full on personal service.
If you have kids this place is perfect. I shall definitely be returning at some point in the future. Well done Ski Peak for a stress free ski trip.

Our luxury catered ski chalet Saskia has consistently been the most popular choice amongst our guests since it was built in 2000. Thanks to the combination of its picture-postcard location on the south facing, sundrenched slopes of Vaujany and its smart and stylish interior, it has become the our flagship. Chalet hosts Marcus and Rosa have built up a loyal following amongst our regulars over the years for their impeccable service, their knowledge of the area and above all Marcus's superlative cuisine. The unique mirror-image design of the chalet allows it to be used as a whole, taking advantage of all ten fully en-suite bedrooms. Alternatively, the chalet can be divided for smaller groups into two separate halves, each with their own lounge and dining areas sharing only the entrance hall plus the TV and games room.
