We stayed for 4 nights here in June in the Verdale room, which we we would definitely recommend - it is a good size and has a nice separate dressing room area and good shower, along with a large private terrace outside to enjoy the long summer evenings. The property is a short walk from Menerbes, which is a relatively small village compared to some others in the area (e.g. Gordes), but has a couple of good dinner options (Veranda was the pick) as well as a pizza place if you want less formal food
The hosts were very friendly and were encouraging and patient of our attempts to remember our school day French!
As mentioned in a previous review, Gary the golden retriever is the star of the show for dog fans - I doubt you will find a more smiley dog anywhere in the world!
There was a good selection at breakfast, which is served in a small building by the pool
Definitely recommended

Room Tip: Verdale was excellent

We stayed for 4 nights in June and found a peaceful retreat in a perfect location in Provence. The room was clean - a little small but the grounds and pool are so pleasant that we really only slept in the room anyway. Mirielle cooks great table d'hote meals 3 nights a week but you need to give at least a days notice if interested. They also have a chipping and putting green - a perfect way to while away a couple of hours in the early evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone as a great base to explore Provence while still having a peaceful spot to retreat from the crowds at the end of the day.

Unusual quirky place but lovely and tranquil all the same. Made very welcome and the request for an evening meal was excellent and good value.

We visited the Luberon in May, 2011, looking for a quiet, comfortable, and non-touristy base from which we could explore the area for several days. We examined several review sites on the Internet, decided that the Mas du Magnolia might fill the bill, and booked the room with an email and a phone call. Are we glad that we did! One of the highlights of our trip was driving up, seeing what a lovely place we had selected, and being greeted so enthusiastically by our hosts, Pierrick and Marielle.

The setting is superb. The place sits in a quiet field about three kilometers below the town of Menebres. The town and the Massif itself look down onto the spacious and well kept grounds and gardens, which include a pool and putting green. The pool house doubles as the breakfast nook and dining room for Marielle's bi-weekly meals.

The breakfast is copious, with a nice array of fresh local fruit. We enjoyed Mireille’s delicious dinner, not only for the food, but because it provided us with an opportunity to interact with guests from all over the world.

Our room, the Malaussene, was generous, clean, and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. It's best feature was the terrace which had a clear view of the town and Massif, and which was a great joy for reading and evening wine sipping.

As others have noted, part of the charm of the place is the warm and enthusiastic hospitality of Pierrick and Mireille, who made sure that we felt at home, not at an impersonal hotel. They were ably assisted by their golden retriever, Gary, who served as the unofficial greeter, and who was always available for a pat or a thrown stick. A guard dog he is not!

When one considers the quality of our room, our terrace with its lovely view, the beautiful gardens, the gracious hospitality and the spacious grounds, the Mas du Magnolia is hard to beat.

Room Tip: If possible, get a room with a terrace.

The most I love is the location. It's in the central of Luberon, easy to go to many beautiful villages within half an hour. Our room is very nice, cosy and quiet. Please note that no tub, no wifi and no tv so you must prepare something to kill time e.g. books or games. Mireille and Pierrick are so nice and welcome and treat us like friends. We felt very comfortable staying there.

An unimpressive thing was that we came to Le Mas du Magnolia on the first day quite late and it's getting dark so we decided to have dinner with them with short notice. They had no time to prepare us well dinner (one with beef steak and another shared with other guests, no proper desserts) and we expected that it should not be fully charged (euro30), unfortunately, they charged us 30+26. It was quite costly for us and we would recommend you to not have dinner with short notice there.

We stayed 8 nights at Mas Magnolia with our 3,5 months baby . It was absolutely superb! The facilities were very good, the garden was beautifully landscaped with a great view. But the real difference that made our holiday unforgettable was the warm welcome by Mireille and Pierrick. It was our first "big" trip with our little baby and Mireille and Pierrick made us feel welcome and at easy. Mireille's cooking was the best in the region (we had 5 dinners:). On the whole I am very appreciative to their tact, warmth and a good balance between "privacy" and warmth. Thanks!!! Iwona, Bart and Bogdan
