We booked a family villa for a week looking for a short get away , to our delight the property sits in a fantastic location and has spacious surroundings to accommodate 2 kids with their day to day activities.
If you are well spoken in French you'll have no problem with communicating with a local agent who met us upon arrival to pass keys and walk us thorough the house....thank God for Google translate and fantastic hand gestures which i have mastered in my years.
You would have thought that the owner would arrange for someone who spoke a tiny wee bit of English to explain and make it more convenient.
I can't fault the agent as she tried her best, I can however fault the owner of not ensuring the property was well maintained - kitchen was dusty and cob webs filled ever nook and carny as where the bathroom and bedrooms.
Good thing there was a hoover on site to make it more accommodating...there where no lines provided but after some conversations with the agent she came up trumps and found some stored away...
With a little bit of TLC from the owner the place would be fab...real shame but that still didn't spoil our holidays overall.
