“Fantastic French food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

We've been to this region of France many times as we live in Barcelona and we are never disappointed. This Restaurant was amazing, massive portions so be aware but so flavoursome we have the prawn main as a starter to share and they were fantasticly fresh and the. I had the lamb which was beautiful. Really good value for money. Had sole also which was amazing not a bone in site and the vegetables which come with the meals were on there own delicious!!! We will be going back again.

“Standard fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

Ate here recently. My fish was overcooked and far from fresh and the chef is overfond of decorating with balsamic vinegar and orange segments. However the service was great and the atmosphere very pleasant. Standard brasserie fare at fair prices and very good wine list not badly priced.

Great French food in a beautiful location, the centre of old town Pezenas. Excellent staff, very helpful.

“Attentive staff, lovely atmosphere.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Lovely atmosphere for a warm Sept. evening outside on the medieval square, Place Gambetta with a surprising un-touristy feel. Staff was accommodating, the filet de bœuf was requested well done and this being France, we emphasized the 'well', for once the chef was listening as the filet arrived very, very well done. However, that is the only tiny flaw in a lovely meal. The poissons trio of salmon, haddock and crayfish in a bouillabaise was excellent. Good wine list.

“Excellent service, has the chef changed ?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2012

Have eaten five times in two years, food always good although plates a bit over decorated. Excellent professional female waitress and friendly owner. Recently ate with friends, salmon disappointing. Have eaten grilled salmon in restaurants around the world and never been presented with a filet - unboned and unscaled. When brought to the attention of the 'chef' he was arrogantly defensive trying to tell us it was 'normal'. Maybe he should get some professional training. Pity for this restaurant previously always good, excellent location. Will return nevertheless, hopefully chef was temporary.
