Clean room, medium but good standards regarding equipement and service and room rates. Restaurant near by - not tested. Hotel to be recommended for stopping, sleeping and short stays...
not for romantic holidays...

We spent one night here just as a stopover while driving between Nice and Toulouse. The hotel is fine for this purpose, not too far from the auto-route, with free parking, air conditioning and an adequate, well-priced breakfast. Our room was quiet, clean and non-smoking. We arrived quite late and the receptionist still on duty was friendly (I believe they have an automated check-in as well if you arrive after the reception closes). Only complaint is the strange smell in the elevator and hallway but this wasn't present in the room at all.

Stayed at Akena City for one night on the way through to northern Spain. It is ideally located for a stopover as it is minutes off the motorway. The hotel is located in a commercial area so it is quiet. We had made a mistake with our booking but it wasn't a problem for the friendly girl on reception, nor was it an issue on discovering the first room we went to was quite smokey to allow us to change rooms.

The rooms are comfortable but basic but the bed was comfortable and it had a great shower. We didn't have breakfast as we had decided to go into town and have coffee and pastries instead. Pezenas is a gorgeous old French town with some great restaurants and shops. It is definitely worth a visit and one that we will gladly visit again and we would most definitely use the Akena City hotel again.

The Akena City hotel on the edge Pezanas (about a mile from the town centre along a fast raod) is a basic but ultimately satisfying stop -over point. Simple, no nonsense hotel accomodation - comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, friendly staff and we left with a smile on our face. Breakfast is adequate and priced fairly, there is no bar or restaurant but the next door new-build Restaurant Essentiel ( you can just have a beer too) looked welcoming and pleasant albeit closed on Monday and closes too early for night owls. Our toilet cistern (room 210) was faulty and wouldn't stop running. The rooms are quite spartan and "well used" but that's not a critcism. All round just better than ok - equivalent to a decent Travelodge.

Akena City is located on the outskirts of the historic centre of Pezenas. The hotel itself are plain with nice rooms and a nice breakfast possibility. Yoiu need a car or a bike to get to the old city centre, so the location is not too good. The hotel is situated in an industry-area.
