My friend and I booked this last minute as we changed travel plans. Absolutely loved it. Loved the pool area and afternoon champ as at the pool bar. Excellent service here and at dinner which was wonderful. The wine was great. The rooms were gorgeous, ours undergoing some renovations but had so much character that patchy walls did not detract from our two night stay in this gorgeous chateau. Would love to get back one day.

My mother and I were travelling to the Perigord region and stopped at this nicely preserved piece of history. We had booked for two nights which was probably enough although we would have come back to the restaurant many times over.
The vines covering the walls had changed colour and autumn sunlight flooded in to our rooms.
Both of our rooms overlooked the courtyard and were exceptionally clean and bright.Canopied beds and plenty of space made for a relaxing ambience.
Downstairs there was another lovely room for reading or pre-dinner drinks with period lounges and chairs. The breakfast room was amazing with frescoed decoration on the back wall and views through french doors.
The best room was the restaurant which had previously been the stables.Hay grates and troughs still adorn the walls while magnificent huge beams span the space.
Overall a terrific couple of days. We would happily stay again and bring the rest of the family.

We stayed here for 2 nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was lovely and overlooked the interior courtyard. The common rooms were lovely and impressive. We enjoyed the 45 EU prix fixe dinner and found it to be delicious. We loved our stay here.

Four of us stayed for two nights in late August. We found the place quite easily with our GPS. The Chateau is in great condition - the large common rooms were beautifully decorated and had nice back lighting. The breakfast room had a whole wall with a lovely painting, and everything you could want was offered (additional E12 each). We all thought the E45 dinner was outstanding. Great service, plus food and wine quality. The lobster salad and escargots were great. Guest rooms were large and nicely furnished, and the bathroom had two sinks - ask, as each room is different. We felt it was a good value for the experience. Easy drive up to Carcassonne.

A beautiful old chateau with loads of charm and amazing food, although no veggie options on the menu! Although the unlimited wine from their own vines made up for that. We stayed in the Armande room, which was very comfortable and quiet.

Upon arriving we were given the key to our room (Cheneux de Venus) which was beautiful with a big 4 poster bed, antique 'large' single bed, en-suite bathroom and seperate toilet. The restaurant is beautiful with outside candle-lit tables under the fruit trees. There is a 45eur menu for hotel guests and non hotel guests and also an a la carte for hotel guests. We had the duck and the lamb which were both delicious. Also the tarte tatin. They are small portions so I would advise having the 4-5 course menu et 45eur. Breakfast (12eur/pers) is plentiful with cold meats, cheese, bread, home made jams, cakes, fresh fruit...
The only negatives are the only bar (by the pool) only being open from 17h-19h30, no parasols around the pool and no lunch available. Also the inconsiderate parents allowing their children to run around the pool area shouting and jumping in the pool every 10 seconds for well over half an hour was not appreciated.
We fully enjoyed our time. The lady at reception was very kind and informative, and was always available to answer any questions we had.
The hotels red and white wines were delicious. Didnt try the rose, but seemd to be a hit with the other guests. We look forward to coming back next year.

The chateau is a lovely building and full of charm and character. The room was huge with a four poster canopy bed and very traditional furniture. I as disappointed that my balcony offered only a view of the overgrown trees etc outside. The dinner at 45 euros was wonderful and includes 3 bottles (white, rose and red) of their wine which I found very palatable - in fact I purchased some to take away which at 5 euros per bottle I thought was good value. The food was lovely and well presented. Cant understand the reviewer who said the breakfast was limited - there were the usual choices of cold meats, cheese, croissants, bread, eggs etc.

My main criticism is that the bar is only open 2 hours a day (5pm till 7) and rest of the day not even anywhere to buy a soft drink let alone a nice cocktail to sip by the pool! Would have thought it would be plain good business sense to have a bar open during the day by the pool?
