Went lunchtime and had to wait as they were full at 12h00. Returned to be seated by the fire. Beautiful surroundings, old beams, etc.
Food was excellent couldn't fault it. Staff were all happy to be at work, English spoken too which was a bonus.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant 100% happy with everything.

Lovely restaurant recommended and booked by our B and B. Food was excellent as was the range of wine, waiter spoke English and menus were translated so it speeded things up for us. The portions are huge so make sure you’re hungry. It got extremely busy so best to book

We have visited this restaurant for over 20 years and always had a warm welcome from Frederic and his team.

Its lovely inside and has the bonus of a well shaded private courtyard

Outstanding service, even down to pouring a perfect pint - the attention to detail here is truly impressive. Large entrees, and, fortunately, the main courses were not as huge. Had the menu – which included entrée, plat, fromage and dessert. Enjoyed the local traditional pate au pommes de terre, filet of zander – sort of like a pike – and salad of crayfish tails, must have been around 25 of them, plus assortment of cheeses - about half local - and cake. All were very nicely prepared and not overly seasoned. Rather small restaurant indoors, probably no more than 30, so almost essential to have reservation – several people who came in after 7:30 pm were turned away without reservations. Definitely Anglophone friendly – but this restaurant is not just a touristic place, as about half of the diners were local and presumably regulars as evidenced by the welcome they received. The town itself has several interesting buildings but not worth probably a major detour to tour the town - this restaurant, on the other hand, merits a detour from wherever you happen to be.

Pleasantly surprised they were open on a bank holiday, when the usual rural equivalents are most definitely closed. Unlike previous visits we ate inside, very convivial it was too and we did not miss eating on the terrace. Our welcome was warm and friendly especially from the owner we assume. Inside seating arrangements were comfortable and we had a Silver Service. Nice to have linen napkins rather than the ubiquitous paper serviettes. We had the Menu du Jour, rather quaint concept that restaurants in England to learn a thing or two from. I can only wax lyrical about the excellent cuisine ... we all had the Crayfish tails, followed by the confit Duck ignoring my low carb diet for once and indulged in some splendid fries. Excellent cheese board and finished of with a Pear Sorbet, and an Expresso. House Rosé was quite tasty, having an excellent bouquet and a fresh taste.
