Having spent the day looking up old haunts in Limassol, we travelled back to Pissouri and arrived at the Vine Leaf hot and hungry. It was around 4pm so the restaurant was fairly empty. The hospitality shown by staff, especially Carlos was great.
The food was really good, excellent village salad, a huge portion of swordfish steak and all the food was well cooked. The fish and chicken succulent, not dry as in other restaurants we have tried.
The service is warm, friendly, and unhurried, and Carlos was sitting down with customers to discuss food and the local area when people were seeking advice.
Speaking with Athos and Carlos, they are keen to offer customers typical Cypriot food, simple dishes but with good quality fresh ingredients, cooked well, which are tasty.
The Vine Leaf is definitely well worth a visit, there are no pretensions around this restaurant unlike some in the area, they give you the genuine impression that they want you to enjoy visiting their restaurant and trying their food.
