The sort of place that would be quite nice if it was just you and the waterfall but unbearable with coach loads of tourists and hawkers. Our kids didn't invest more than a glance before going back to their iPods! May be better in rainy season in full flow.

Quite an impressive waterfall, and a welcome variation to the landscape if you've been travelling for a while as we had, but it felt rather commercial ... lots of street vendors and traffic clustered around the waterfall which is situated on a bend on the busy road up to Ella and beyond. If you are travelling on through the SL Hill Country, including especially on the train from Ella, you cannot avoid seeing other waterfalls, and they may well impress more - and be less people-infested.

When you walk from Ella towards Ella Rock along the railway trail you'll pass this waterfall. It's quite pretty - but not more than that if you'd seen other great waterfalls i your life. If you have to choose Little Adam's Peak is much more interesting.

Many monkeys and nice flawing waterfall. Ignore the vendors. They are trying anything to get a dime.

Not much to do, but its a good spot for a few beautiful pics on the way out or in to Ella. Be aware of the guys selling stones around, apparently they are fake.
