“A must visit restaurant in Dumaguete”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014

Thinking of sharing Dumaguete to your friends and family from afar, this is where you should go. Here you can buy the famous Sylvannas, cakes and pastries. The restaurant location is easily accessible and is facing the famous Dumaguete Rizal Boulevard.
The prices in the restaurant and inside the "pasalubong" store is easy on the budget.

“A PLACE TO VISIT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2014

Sans rival was the place that offer great foods, great customer service and and welcomes you in a very classy yet wonderful restaurant. The location was perfect if you are the type of person that wants to enjoy dinner outside watching the view of the ocean. And if you are more of the inside type of person they also offer a nice and well decorated place for you inside. Fully air-conditioned.The waitress are very attentive and very hospitable.Food was great you can have a various selection from sandwiches to pasta, pastries and more exciting dishes. They have one of the most great resto that offers a great glass of Ice Tea which was made on their own signature mixed.

“Sylvanas and Spaghetti!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

Their sylvanas only for 15php per piece was a taste of heaven, every bite was fantastic that you can't get enough of. A box of 10 pcs. of sylvanas is at 125 php that you can take home to your family of friends. It's shelf life is about 6-8 hrs. and it doesn't turn into liquid form which wouldn't damage it's original shape. I also enjoyed their single serving of spaghetti, it's not the usual italian spaghetti with huge chunk of meatballs, but it was spectacular, pasta was well cooked in a delish spaghetti sauce that they top with cheese and a dash of ketchup. Yes! what you're reading was true, there was ketchup on top of it and i'm usually not a fan of that since manila has tons of those kind of spaghetti's that tasted like crap. But theirs was an exception, and it was complimenting the taste of the spaghetti. Sansrival was nothing special i tell you, it was a slice of cake that tasted like the usual sansrival you get to eat in other pastry shops. Try the restaurant facing the boulevard, it's cozy with a spanish feel to it and you'd look like eating out at a fancy restaurant. Little do your friends know that you've only paid around 100 php to 200 php to enjoy such a wonderful café. That's gonna be our little secret guys :)

PS.

I experienced poor customer service on the store that they have just beside the main restaurant (The one facing chin-loong, i believe it's on the right side of it). The staff were ignoring me which was disappointing. But the main store is different, i'd suggest you head there rather than the small one.

“Aside from their silvanas, do not miss their paella negra.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

Their silvanas are great for take outs and are favorite pasalubong too for visitors to Dumaguete. Do not miss their paella negra. They also have a number of decent Spanish dish like lengua, callos, bacalao and others. Better reserve a table at inside dining area with air-con especially nowadays during the hot summer months.
