We find the service for this area to be the best in town. We often try the daily lunch specials just to experiment and are rarely disappointed. It is normally very quiet and comfortable with an almost homey feel. A very friendly staff adds to the homey feel. When the owner is there he always asks us how are meal is.
In my opinion someone is making some very negative attack like postings about Casa Blanca and I have no idea why or who, but have some suspicions. What I can say is ignor whatever this persons problem is and give Casa Blanca a try and you decide. As most of us know there are just some plain mean or mentally unstable people in this world that are doing the unfavorable posts.
Be your own judge.
We have always been treated very nicely at Casa Blanca.
Give it a try.

We really enjoyed eating here two of the three nights in Dumaguete. Ate at KRI the other night (Yum!). Casablanca has great food, especially for the Philippines. For such a small city Dumaguete has good restaurants. The second night they had a pesto like creamy topping for the bread, wow! I asked for more :). I had curry both nights, super and baked potatoes. We are really missing baked potatoes being in the Philippines now for 4 months. Can not go wrong and at $7 US per person very affordable.

The reviews by PietroSemplice and DumagueteCity6200 are biased and suspect to say the least. As it seems that the first named has a financial interest in a competitors restaurant his comments are trade biased and unethical. As far as DumagueteCity6200 is concerned, this is yet another alias to the many that you use to continue to spout your venom and promote your vendetta against the owner of this establishment. You would never, ever be turned back at the door. The guard at Casablanca keeps vendors away and keeps them moving on. He would NEVER allow them to access the outside dining area, let alone block the steps to the Deli. But you have had a personal gripe about this place ever since you tried to blacken the owners name by complaining about having to pay 20 peso for butter to go with the bread and salsa dip, which is complimentary. The moderator of the local forum (and I am not him) will often remove your comments because you use the forum to make personal attacks and are considered a troll. You get banned on one day and then re-appear the next day under a different alias. So, Cutie/Viper/Surfin' and any other name you choose to use, I hope the owner now takes a stand against you. Your taste in fine dining does not seem to extend beyond fast food and junk food, made all the more attractive to you by the endless free coffee before 10 a.m. I use Casablanca on an almost daily basis and have been invited to judge the food of the students graduating from DACA on numerous occassions. I have never had a bad or even questionable meal there, and if anyone finds anything wrong, Guenther is the most approachable of people to voice your concerns to..... and he WILL do something about it if you raise any concerns. Here's a clue. The mayor of Dumaguete owns Sans Rival restaurant, yet on an almost daily basis he and his entourage can be found at Casablanca. I know that Guenther would welcome any constructive criticism, but your opinions are not a critique, they are vitriolic in content and intended to be deliberately damaging by nature. Far more accurate reviews of Casablanca are available to be read, so the opinions of these two "reviewers" should be taken with a very large pinch of salt.

i went there lunch time and only few people were there to eat. food was good as well as their service. like italiannis they'll be serving you with their baked bread while selecting what food to order in their menu. everything that we ordered was great. they have a big serving and good for sharing. the setting is also nice and i think it's better at night. i'll definitely go back.

Casablanca is the best restaurant in Dumaguete. It has awide menu ranging from Mexican to Italian to German to Filipio As best I can see, Casablanca make no pretense of being a gourmet or fine food restaurant. It is very "MOR", Middle of the Road and does an EXCELLENT job at what it has set out to do. It is not La Vetta in Cagayan de Oro or UrChoice in Dipolog or My Kitchen by Chris in Manila. And it does ot try to compete with them. Just good food, well prepared, and well served. What more can anyone ask?
