Jo's Chicken Inato used to be THE place to go for bbq chicken, but no more. Their chicken is dry and not very meaty. Can't compare to Mang Inasal I'm afraid. =(

Sure Jo's is an institution. I used to frequent the place in college for a lack of eating choices in the city of gentle people.

Now with new food joints popping all over the place, they should step up their game. Coming fr the other side of the island where viands should never be sweet, the sweet tangy flavor of Jo's is a let down. Sure this is personal preference but the size of the chicken is small and at times, chicken comes out very dry to the point of being burnt. Place doesnt look very clean. Servers have an attitude. Head off to City Burger where chicken are juicier.

Jo's chicken inato is so delicious you'd lick and suck at the bamboo skewer! i'm serious. this is a must-do when you are in dumaguete. eat the chicken with your hands as you drink in not only the flavors of what you're eating, but of the dumaguete sea as well.

this restaurant is right in the heart of the city and if you're staying in hotel nicanor or somewhere along those streets, you can get to this restaurant by foot.

you can try going to jo's chicken inato in cebu, but the ambiance in dumaguete is way better. it's less busy and the staff is more friendly.

Order their chicken inato, which is the house specialty. It's an amazing mix of sweet and tangy goodness! Also, their pancit macau special is good!

The place has somehow come down from its glory days in the 90s, but it still is a great place for a relatively cheap meal!
