The temple on the hill top is really a good place to see. Very peaceful with a devine experience.
Best to take a rope way , which gives you a complete view of the holy city from top. In the rope way with package ticket for both temples, Mansa Devi & Chadi Devi , one can visit both temples in about 2 hours comfortably.

Cable car experience is good. Visit during off season to avoid the long devotees' queues. Well managed shrine.

We went to this temple via ropeway which took us 3 mins to reach on top and 3 mins to comeback down from the ropeway. The experience in the ropeway was very good.

The ropeway drops you up and takes 58 rupees per person. The temple is also very nice and peaceful but recently they have build more temples before we reach the main temple and the pandits over there try to make money by pulling everyone inside the temple for Dakshan. Don't get bullied by the pandits.

Once we go ahead of the main temple there is a tree where one can tie a thread and make a wish which is why mansa Devi temple is famous for. One has to pay 10 rupees to buy the thread.

Must visit temple at haridwar!

I presume I went to this temple during off season. Hence there was not much crowd and could have a very peaceful darshan of Mataji. The rope way was a good experience. You can buy a ticket at the foothill of the temple. You have an option of buying a whole package, which includes rope way up and down at Mansa Devi, transport from Mansa Devi to Chandi Devi, Ropeway up and down at Chandi Devi and transport back to the city center. This package costs around Rs. 215/-. Its worth it.

The temple is well kept. There are a lot of people trying to sell 'puja' items everywhere. They try to follow you everywhere and force you to buy these items.

Be careful about the monkeys around. They do not attack or harm. They just try to take what ever eatables you are carrying with you - especially they are attracted by the plastic carry bags..

You also have an option of going up to the temple on foot. Probably takes around 30 minutes of climb.

The place was sort of empty I would say after what ever I had read about the crowds in this temple. Definitely a must visit place in Haridwar.
