“Value for your tropical holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

The Arabian Nights is situated right next to the beach. Not to talk of all the kites in the sky! Awesome! My daughter and I stayed in one of the rooms next to the pool and it had a roof-fan as well as an AC. We had a very pleasant stay. The food is fresh, the staff is polite and pleasant and the swimming pool as well as the rooms are clean.

Recommendation: I would strongly suggest that they change their breakfast menu. For thewhole 8 days we stayed there, we had the same breakfast (eggs, pancake, bread) everyday!!!

However, I would recommend it any day! Thank you Mohammed and your staff for making our tropical Island holiday special!

Regards,

Palesa and Roelene Alexander

As we saw that the restaurant in the Arabian Nights Annex was 1st in trip advisor, we decided to visit it. We made a mistake and instead of going to the Annex, we went to Arabian Nights (no Annex!)
We went to the restaurant and we asked to see the menu and have table. Thatbwas around 7pm. The waiter told us that the chef is not here and tsar we should leave. We asked when the chef would arrive and he said in 30 minutes probably. We said that we don't mind waiting and that we would have a drink first. He then said that the manager is not here and that we should leave and go to Paje by Night and have dinner!!!!
So we left as he said! Strange!

We stayed at Arabian Nights hotel for 5 nights on our honeymoon. We had a beachfront bungalow with a great view of paje beach and the ocean.
The bungalow was great, big and spacious. AC in the room, warm water heater. Cleaning was done every day, fresh towels every day. The hotel had beach towels that the guest could use.
A pool in the back which was great during low tide. Free wifi in the hotel lounge.
The manager was wonderful, helpful and very nice. He really looked after his guests and help us come in contact with reliable people for dolphin tour and spice tour.
Just on the beach in front of the hotel was Paje by Kite, a kitesurfing place owned by hotel Paje by Night. Many kite surfers, a lot of people on the beach. Many kite surfers stayed at Arabian also, probably is Arabian a lot more quiet and calm atmosfer than Paje by Night. Paje beach is perfect for kitesurfing, but it'll cost you 300 euro to be in a 10 hour kite school if you haven't tried kiting before.

All in all, the beach is great, the hotel was amazing. I warmly recommend Arabian Nights Hotel on Paje beach to everyone.

The Arabian Nights is situated right next to the beach.
Unfortunately the manager did not give us a room with two separate beds as booked.
He also did not stick to his promises to change the room after a few days.
The room next to the pool had a fan and was very hot at night.
We also had the chance to look at the newer sea view rooms that have aircon and are much nicer, but also more expensive.
Breakfast and food ist reasonably good.

We stayed in the sea view rooms, which as promised had amazing views of the sea! The beach is literally on your door step. The rooms are very spacious and clean! They have their own restaurant but there are quite a few others along the beach to try. We arranged massages through Arabian nights annex but I would give that a miss! Everything else was great. I would stay there again. Its also great value for money considering the views.

Arrived late in the evening and had some confusion with booking, which was sorted out nicely. We got fantastic rooms and manager himself showed rooms and taught all details, starting with where to find light switches. It was great, because my mother has seeing disability, and new places is always a little bit struggle. I did diving course and during days rest of the family had great time. Breakfast had been great. There were lot of different kind of travellers, which was nice. Lively, but still quiet and relaxing place. We ate at diving center the lunch which was fantastic and supper at local place just outside the hotel, also fantastic. "Paje at night" did not have great food ( at least compared to other 2 places), though was more busy and fancy.

The sea view room was spacious and right on the beach.
The man who checked us in showed us how to set the password on the safe and told us to keep our valuables there.
After returning from lunch a few hours later we opened the safe to find a good portion of our US cash stolen.
We confronted the manager and he denied that this had happened and refused to believe us. He asked us to leave the next day (which we were extremely happy to do). When they refunded us for the remainder of the nights we had prepaid for we were 'cheated' again!
Two of the US100 bills were pre 2003 (not the new crisp bills we prepaid with) and are not accepted in Zanzibar.
