We did a lot of research before settling on this place. We came to Bwejuu back in 1991 when there was only the Dere Beach Guest House (now sadly a ruin) and the Twisted Palms, and we really wanted the return visit to be special. We were not disappointed! The bungalows are so tastefully designed: a real Robinson Crusoe palm-roofed hut on the beach. The restaurant and attached seating area were also very tastefully done. Waking at dawn for the sunrise over the Indian ocean is so beautiful, as is lying in the hammock to watch it rise. Great if all you want is a quiet beach in paradise. For those wanting to hear a throbbing bass amplified over the beach, better try somewhere else. Slightly more expensive an most bungalows but this is A VERY romantic spot to take a VERY romantic lady!
