“Great place with family and friends”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

We were a crowd of 12, half adults and half kids, and it was just right. Accommodations were just right, the rooms nice and spacious, and the beach close by. It was breezy in the evening, and there is no A/C, but it didn't bother anyone in our group. We all enjoyed the beach. The food was excellent, prepared by Edi in a local flavor. Should be understood this isn't a "posh" place, rather it is a warm place without pretension.

We stayed 2 nights and 3 days at Robinsons place. It was the perfect place to rest and recuperate! No electricity, but the candles placed around the place create a relaxing ambiance.

We stayed in the main house, very spacious with 5 big beds & mosquito nets. Shower and toilet were clean. It had 3 day beds which was lovely to relax on. The place faces the beach, but you need to swim early morning and late afternoon before the tide is low!

Ann & Edi were lovely and really made you feel at home. Breakfast's were fresh fruit, eggs, bread & chai and dinners were amazing with rice, tuna, panfried banana's, veggies & more! Communal dinners with the other guests let you find out how everyone else came around to here, it was great. Lunches were off the site and too restaurants near by.

We also got directed to a place for snorkelling, where you sail on a dhow, it was heaven!!

Thankyou Robinson's place! i love Zanzibar!

Don't read any further if your holiday dreams involve air-conditioned, bland sameness. This is a special place for people who know how to chill and ride with the tides and loft with the breezes off the east coast of Zanzibar. Ann and Edi's place is right on the beach. Chai tea, fruit and eggs in the early morning under the palm trees, a swim and shamble down the beach to a restaurant shack for amazing fresh seafood and ice-cold beers for lunch. Good snorkelling on nearby reef with reliable down-home operators in ngalwas. Eat Edi's dinners at night or sashay down to Paradise Beach Bungalows for sushi if he's out. Kindness, consideration and calm reign supreme.

Room Tip: Our teenagers (boy + girl) had their own bungalow, we had had the honeymoon suite upstairs and open...

Ann and Edi created a little paradise isolated from the real life. Although there is no electricity in the guesthouse you charge your natural batteries (take it easy – Edi may charge your mobile phone). The venue is full of harmony, charm and blissful.
We experienced the loveliest time ever in our life.

Best for honeymooners;)

This is a great place to enjoy the beautiful white beach of Bwejuu. The place is qiet and peaceful. The rooms are tastefullly decorated with traditional Zanzibari furniture. Even the bathroom is beautiful and the shower has hot running water!
Edi and Ann are very hospitable. They prepare fantastic Zanzibari food and create an intimate atmosphere.
The children played for hours on the beach, in the sea and in the garden.

Keep in mind that there is no electricity and no internet.

We arrived looking forward to staying here as it seemed like a very unique place to stay which is was. We have a beautiful open room which had a great cool breeze and was easy to sleep in the evenings. You wake up to find coffee and tea ready for you on the table outside and soon after Edi presents you with a delicious looking breakfast. We felt always like there was no one around even though Edi and Ann were always found near the kitchen to help. Felt romantic and private at the same time. Would recommend organising through Robinson's a dhow trip to the Blue lagoon to go snorkelling. We biked there met a local captain who sailed us out on crystal clear waters and we snorkelled for a while then he took us back. Thank you Ann and Edi for a great stay and organising our Blue Lagoon trip was a wonderful little trip.

Right on the beach, friendly family run small place. Wonderful rustic escape from the rest of the world. Nice breakfast included in the 40-50 USD PP rate. Fresh seafood dinner available upon request at reasonable cost. Enough electricity for hot showers but not for AC or TV. Ocean breeze almost certain at night so sleeping is comfortable even without AC.
Take a good book, relax, eat, sleep, enjoy.
