We absolutely loved diving with dive point-the staff are so warm, friendly and helpful and their equipment is amazing. They've only been open for 5 months and so all their equipment is brand new. Its in the absolute best location on the island because its directly opposite the atoll and instead of driving 45min one way to get to the launching beach like all the other dive companies have to do, we just had a quick 5min drive around the corner. And after the dive when the tide's higher, the boat took us directly back to the centre instead. Brilliant. Can't wait to dive with them again.

Exceptional dive center. The place had been recently open so everything is new, great place, good equipment, wonderful swimming pools. Adam and Gaba, the managers are very friendly and instructors and dive master are excellent. The dives was amasing. To not miss it !

I visited this dive centre a couple of months ago as an almost total novice. The centre is set in an attractive hotel with a great view out to sea. They have their own specialised pool for learning to dive and everything seemed perfectly set up (at least to a beginner). We went for a double dive at Mnemba and given helpful advice and instructions along the way, as well as a good lunch. On the way back we even took a bit of a detour to get a good look at the dolphins. Add to that the friendliness of Adam and Gaba and the fact that we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Matemwe and it was an all-round great experience. Highly recommended.

If you are a diver and you have been to the North of Unguja (Zanzibar) before, you know what is the biggest pain whn you dive at Mnemba. A boring, often bumpy trip by boat.
Well, here is the good news for you. Not anymore! :) You can now reach the nearest Mnemba reef in less than 10 minutes thanks to Dive Point Zanzibar.
They just started at Sunshine Marine Lodge but they are not new to the business. Adam has over 5 years of a dive guide experience on Zanzibar and has intimate knowledge of all Mnemba reefs and their marine life. I love his dive style - relaxed but focused, slow pace with safety always in mind. He has a very good eye for spotting things underwater - check out his pictures on FB and you will know what I am talking about.
We could take only two dives this time but, despite 14 years of scuba experience and 500+ dives, we managed to see the things we had never seen before. Indian walker fish (not sure about the name), leaf fish and various nudibranches - fantastic. Add octopus and dolphins on top and you will understand why it was great value for money without going cheap.
For those without their own gear - the equipment is brand new and of good quality and it is likely to stay like this with Gaba and Adam being obsessive about the maintenance.
Adam, Gaba - good luck. Please don't lose your enthusiasm and passion. :)
