The reiview refers to their offer of seep sea/big game fishing Quite an awful experience, we felt cheated and disrespected as well as treated as totally naive first time tourist deep sea anglers We used the branch of WS in Kendwa Rocks on Jul 3rd afternoon.
The boat: only when we were out to sea I notuced the lack of downrigger- the crew admitted that it had broke the day before and would ne mended next day. Nobody told us, without the device you can only do slow surface fishing , no chance for big catch, no chance for tuna. I would have resiggned if I has known. Chris, The boss - knew.
Coolbox on board was not filled with ice, soft drinks were hot and lunch snacks looked like
Mud leaking out of the alu containers. The crew did not even try it Neither did we
Money: before we took off I payed cash and Scott, the manager , had no change and wanted to give it back to me upon coming back. "No problem " I said , though It turned out it was. He was not there nor was anyone else when we got back at 6.30 pm We had to call him and his boss a good couple of times and wait for him 40 min to hear some unpleasent words. We were not offered a receipt.
I had prvious big game fishing in several spots incl Kenya (sailfish) and Canada not to mention Chile and New Zealand but this kind of service truly made me sad and mad for the first time

Zanzibar Watersports welcomes feed back from all customers who partake in the activities that we offer. We do feel that the recent post from a customer who went out fishing with us was some what unfair and non completely accurate.
Fishing is a sport that one can not guarantee a catch. In this case the customer felt some what cheated and up set that that did not catch any fish on this particular charter. The crew worked hard to try and catch fish, but sadly it was not to be.

We supply cold beverages on all fishing excursions, unfortunately the boat was late leaving for the charter, as the clients decided to have lunch prior to going fishing, therefor the ice had melted.

Due to charter leaving late, it returned late. We are in agreement with customer that, one of the management should have stayed behind to the meet the customer when they arrived to return the change owed, and we are truly sorry for the delay we caused to the customer.

Once again we apologize for the inconveniences the customer experienced on account of the days fishing.

Kind Regards from Management.

Dive Centre is nearest to dive sites in Zanzibar. many other dive centres on the east of the Island require a far longer boat ride to the dive sites. Very convenient being in Ras Numgwi Hotel

The boat took us from nungwi and travelled for around an hour an a half, some of the Time on Engine but other times just using the sail which was really relaxing. We were all given a snorkel and goggles and jumped off the boat into the sea the corals and fish are beautiful words cannot do this justice! After about an hour we had a barbecue on the beach with grilled tuna in an amazing garlic and lemon, the sea was perfectly blue and the beach a heavenly untouched white <3

We used Zanzibar Watersports to take the PADI Open Water certification. Their main office is located in Kendwa, and we stayed in Nungwi. They provided free transportation for us every course day. The instructor spoke excellent English and was very easy going. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. New and good quality equipment. Good organized dives. We recommend this diving center!

2 huge thumbs up to Chris and his team at Zanzibar Watersports for the great organizing, caring and professional staff, and for going the extra mile to make a group of 33 people from all over the world, the happiest people for 1 day..

The snorkeling, diving, amazing lunch and overall experience was fantastic.. We even had 2 non swimmers and his team made sure that they wouldn't miss out by giving them life jackets and extra help, to ensure they could have fun as well and see some amazing marine life.

As a group we want to say THANK you for this memorable experience.
