Three of us badly needed a reasonably substantial feed at an inconvenient late afternoon hour. Wanaka's top rated eateries were either closed or over-crowded so we chose Relishes Cafe. The service was pleasant and adequate; the food was tasty, interesting and sufficient. The price was fair. We were quite happy and all agreed we would return.

Decent food, good service and good coffee. I have tried the full breakfast and my friend had the bruchetta. I was sattisfied and my friend was happy woth the bruchetta. Could easily go again and try some other dishes.

Interior is nice and there is a fireplace, which gives a warm athmosphere.

My husband and I had never visited this restaurant before for a meal, only coffee. What a difference , the whole atmosphere is different on a night. Lovely fire burning and tables large enough for sharing, the staff were very attentive and knew the menu and when we asked where they obtained their cheese as my husband loves his cheese, very rare to get cheeseboard in restaurants, they gave us the name of it. Most make special mention of Lizzie, (I think that was her name) English and very good at her job. The meals are a little different from the normal New Zealand fare, with good starters to share as well. So pleased we didn't have one each. Portions quite large

We had some great meals here dinner and lunch! Nice ambience too, however the staff were a bit slow at times and the restaurant was uncomfortably hot when we went there for dinner.

We came in on a cold night and were thoroughly warmed and fussed over... The staff were just lovelyand the atmosphere jolly... But the food was the real star.... Delicious, light, flavourful and inventive... We started with a zesty Beetroot carpaccio, indulged in confit duck and seafood soup, then shared a to-die-for marscapone and goats cheese fluffy mouse with lemon and lavender curd and candied walnuts.... Just delicious and highly recommended...
