Thanks for your excellent review!
We always love to hear of adults having a great time when they thought PW was just for kids!
Fun and exploration is universal but being keen to try to comprehend things here does perhaps means under 2's may not get as much out of it, so good call.
Love to hear "fun and fascinating" together - it's what we strive for :)
We look forward to welcoming you back to PW!
This is a great place to spend some time. The options are plentiful from illusions to puzzles and from maze to taking your crazy photos.
As an older couple it is a place we enjoyed, and would love to take the grandchildren to see. I didnt see too many people not having a good time, whether they be tourist, local or overseas visitors.
We found the staff pleasant and helpful and they made a point of advising of possible "issues" with ones balance with the Tilt houses...which we felt was part of the fun of the day.
Great exhibits, and maybe they are old hat to some, but Ive been here before and I still loved it again.
If you havent been it is very much worth a look..and if you have..well enjoy it and be fascinated by the optical illusions.
Was packed with school groups when we were there in the middle of the day so bit difficult to enjoy the exhibits but overall interesting to do on a rainy day. Something different to do if needing a day off from hikes and adventures! We also did the maze and despite the signs there were still families calling out directions from the bridges which taints the experience for others. Reasonably priced cafe.
We loved puzzle world! We are a group of 5 adults and a teenager and everyone in be group thoroughly enjoyed this activity! The maze is a challenge if your up for it! Plus the tilted room is an interesting experience
What an awesome place on the side of the highway. My 4 year old son had a ball going through all the different rooms and so did we! Followed by the outdoor maze which was lots of fun. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even though it was busy. Defiantly worth the trip if your passing by!
We had an absolute ball here. We spent a good 2 hours here and took multiple photos. Its just a good, entertaining visit full of illusions, images, and special little features to make your brain think outside the square.
Whatever you do dont forget to visit the upstairs toilets =)
This was a really cool place to visit, it was raining so we didn’t do the outside maze however the puzzling rooms were enough to keep us busy, love the cafe and the fact that you can sit and play with the puzzles over your coffee and muffin. I would recommend :)
I have been coming here since I was little, nearly every time I came to Wanaka. I recommend this attraction for kids, families and puzzle fanatics! The illusion rooms are fine for any kind of weather but "The Great Maze" (which does live up to it's name) is much better on dry or sunny days. If you have the time while in Wanaka, go visit with the fam.
Nice way to spend a morning. More time in three maze than anything. Puzzling area is great but failed to hold kids attention as they raced through it. Great for thinking adults
Stopped in with my husband was an attraction that he wanted to check out well in Wanaka was a little bit pricey but had a lot of fun from taking pictures outside with the amazing looking lopsided leaning tower to all the different
wonderful illusion rooms plenty on fun the tilted room was heaps of fun and the maze we both thought was very difficult after about 30minutes we walked out on a side exit
Try to experience everything aspect of Puzzling World as a lot of thought and effort has gone into it. Well maintained and really interesting exhibits and maze, with a cafe to buy food and drinks whilst you work on some of the puzzles in the entrance.
