It's a bit out of town, so take the car if want to pop down to the lake - and you should, because it's absolutely stunning! Pleasant staff, a good room and a pretty good evening meal. We would be happy to stay here again.

My friend and I stayed at this resort coming all the way fron America. We were so thrilled with all the modern conviences our suite had such as heated towel racks, full kitchen, large soaking tub, and washer/dryer. The location is great & the view from our room was gorgeous. Best of all every single staff memeber we met was extremely helpful & friendly. If you stay there make sure to eat at Jacobs Grill and have the Thai Green Curry! We loved this hotel & I would have happily payed double to stay here.

Stayed at Oakridge Resort for 1 night in studio room. The location for this hotel is quite far from town center if you're walking, only 5-10 minutes drive by car. The atmosphere of the hotel was great but we're not really happy with our room. The lay out of the room is not efficient, so it make the room cramped.
The pool was amazing though, nice and refreshing with heated pool. Had dinner as well beside the pool and they have great food and drinks.
If we stay there again maybe we will try the apartments instead of studio room.

Room Tip: avoid studio room, it's small and really old style.

We rented 2 rooms for one night for our family. The price was very reasonable at around $110/room for the accommodation. The downside was the shower was very small, basically a tub with a glass partition at the shower head. The breakfast was reasonable for the quality of the food, although the service left something to be desired. We would stay there again, all things considered.

I stayed with friends in a two bed apartment. It was well furnished and clean. Plenty of parking on site. There was a pool but it was too cold to use it. Wifi was charged for and as I have said elsewhere NZ is way behind in providing wifi for guests - it is part of life in 2014 and travellers need to keep in touch.

Stayed at Oakridge Resort for two nights on our way to Fox Glacier. We were extremely happy with our guest room, comfortable and modern. The hotel was in a convenient location only a five minute drive to the town centre. We loved the overall atmosphere around the resort, extremely quiet and relaxing. The several small hot tubs around the pool area were great, as it allowed us a hot tub to ourselves. We dined in the restaurant on our last night, the food was amazing and wait staff extremely friendly, however maybe slightly understaffed as the restaurant was fully booked and there were only three of them. Overall a wonderful stay, one of our favourite hotels on our New Zealand holiday!
