Excellent place to stay in Wanaka. The resort is a five-minute drive from Wanaka. Four nights in a beautiful one-bedroom apartment facing Aspiring National Park. Clean and spacious. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Excellent internet access. No barbecue. Hot pools are available for guests. We didn't try the restaurant or bar. Check www.wotif.com for specials. A highlight was the Rob Roy Valley Walking Track—amazing scenery.

Excellent kitchen and dining facilities for entertaining guests in the apartments. Tasteful decor and furnishings. Ground floor apartments open out onto terrace and upstairs onto a balcony with outdoor furniture and great views. Washing machine and dryer in bathroom was most useful.
We enjoyed the pool area but cannot comment on the restaurant or bar as we entertained our fellow travelers in our apartment.
Can understand the comments from others regarding noise penetration from adjoining studio room and visa versa. Fortunately the resort was not particularly busy during our stay and guests were not allocated adjoining rooms.
This hotel is on the Queenstown/Wanaka highway via Cardrona and very easy to find with good access. I found the staff efficient, friendly and helpful.

Stayed here and had a lovely well appointed room with washing machine and great kitchen. Everything was just perfect. On check out we realised that we had left a mobile phone behind. The staff called us and said housekeeping had handed the phone in. Staff posted the phone on to our next hotel which was just incredible. We enjoyed the walk into town and loved Wanaka. Great to encounter such honest people who are genuinely helpful and go beyond their call of duty. Big Gratitude !!

We stayed at this hotel over Easter Weekend in Wanaka to view Warbirds Over Wanaka.
We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is a quick drive from the lake front and restaurants, about 2 mins away. You could walk down but it would be a uphill walk.

We had (compared to pictures on their internet site) had a Guest Room, which was of good size. Unfortunately, on our last night our neighbours were young guys on a fishing trip and their entrance door was next to our entrance door which was noisey.
We could also here them in the next room, We could hear them thumping around, their washing machine spinning, their alarm waking them the next day and how long they had a shower for. They must of had a 1 bedroom apartment with these facilities as our room was only a studio with ensuite.
I also think that we had no neighbours the previous 3 nights as it was quiet then.
On arrival we only had one mug in the room and had to request another.

After our room was serviced over the following days, the interesting thing was the small rubbish bin in the bathroom. The first day it was not emptied. The 2nd day it was but the plastic bag was not replaced and the 3rd day, it was emptied and plastic bag replaced.

The vanity in the bathroom was noticeably dirty on the 3rd morning after the room was serviced. As was the mirror - not cleaned.

We had breakfast for the 4 mornings which did not change, other than to run out of mushrooms on the Monday. You could have a hot breakfast, cereals and toast or both. Ours was both.
The breakfast plates were cold so once you put your hot food onto the plate it got cold quite quickly. Hot breakfast was bacon, mushrooms, hashbrowns, baked beans and scrambled eggs. For quite a while the burner underneath the hot dishes was not going and food became cold.
It took over 30 minutes for the breakfast muffins and croisants to be replenished.
The juice ran out, coffee cups ran out, glasses ran out, milk ran out etc. People were constantly asking for things. If you are not in a hurry and just take your time, will be okay, but it is disappointing.

The heated pools were nice and warm and clean. There are lots of spa pools (hot tubs), but could not get them to turn on to bubble. The pool towels provided needed to be bigger as they were general bathroom size.

There was no mini bar in the room. No air con in the rooms but windows can be opened or if you have a balcony even better. Best to have a first floor room as then you can leave your window open, ground floor would require window to be closed at night for general safety reasons.

We would not choose to stay here again due to the noise of neighbours and housekeeping.

Room Tip: Choose a first floor room as then windows or ranch slider (depending on room) can be kept open at ni...
