Our weekend down to Wanaka from Auckland (during the Rugby World Cup opening weekend!) for our 10th wedding anniversary was perfect. We felt relaxed, "at home" and enjoyed Ed and Carol's wonderful hospitality. We were lucky to stay in the "Master" suite which was so comfortable, warm and well equipped. We had fun meeting all the other visitors (especially enjoying the wonderful breakfasts and spending time chatting to everyone). We will be back.

We loved everything about the Wanaka Homestead Lodge. The hosts were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was phenomenal (double showers!) No complaints whatsoever. Everything good that you read in the other reviews is true. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever so lucky to return!

Have stayed here twice now in winter and summer and at both times equally good. Warm and cosy in winter and beautiful location in summer on edge of town beside Wanaka Station park and the lake. Take a walk along the lake to Rippon Vineyard and sample their awesome wines in their new tasting room and soak up the view across the lake..really beautiful. Wanaka Homestead has lovely clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Ed and Carol are really excellent hosts, but one of Ed's clear talents is breakfast! Delicious.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Wanaka Homstead recently and were
very taken with both the hospitality and the comfort of our stay. Carol and Ed
looked after us very well and went out of their way to make us feel wecome.
The homestead is within walking distance of the township (we walked to and
from restaurants each night). The building is not all that old and is fashioned on
a ski lodge type of layout. We chose the largest bedroom upstairs which was
very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the lounge/dining area each morning which
was very pleasant. Carol and Ed assisted us in choosing the types of activities that interested us and booked anything that we required. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will be returning to stay a little longer next year.

Beautiful building, spacious ensuite room and great breakfast. Very handy to town but far enough away to avoid the noise and crowds. Parking can be a bit difficult. Highly recommended
