We went for breakfast and the selection was HUGE - and none of it the typical fare. The lunch menu seemed superb and reasonable but we never had the chance - we will return. Service was excellent and attentive - the kids were treated well too. There is an outdoor area and lots for the kids to play with.

We settled on some beautifully scrambled eggs and bacon (both organic). Tea AND coffee were proclaimed perfect - which is rare.

We will be back. Wish they did dinner so I would have more of a chance to sample their menu.

A family friendly restaurant with home cooked food and great baking. Friendly staff. No extra charge for decaffeinated coffee. Unexpectedly sunny and upbeat.

Tucked away in a little lane in Wanaka, this cafe feels cosy yet spacious, well thought out and welcoming. My partner and I visited on a clear and cold winter Thursday morning and had a light breakfast:

Smoothie: excellent and fruity

Almond Freon: fantastic and intense

Large Latte with an extra shot: Totally hit the mark.

Cheese Scone: - This was the best cheese scone I've had in a long time. I'd almost given up with the floury tasteless monsters I've been served over the years, but this one was smaller but with about 10x the amount of cheese in it. A revelation!

The decor is bright and happy with an open kitchen design and comfy stools (with optional cow hide if it's cold), the staff were great, and there's even a lovely mural outside of the Aspiring range so who needs the actual view, when the rest is that good?

From now on, this is my café of choice in Wanaka - in the tradition of Joe's in Queentown and Motogrill when they're on top form.

This little cafe is hidden down a laneway behind a dress shop but is well worth the trip to find it. The breakfasts here are great as are the lunches. The service was efficient and the place is obviously well patronised by locals as children are well catered for with toys and patience.
