To celebrate my birthday my daughter rang us on holiday to urge us to visit this cinema whilst we were in Wanaka for a few days. The weather was great and the thought of sitting in a stuffy cinema and missing the sunshine was not appealing but the thought of my daughter telling us off for missing out on such an unusual attraction was even more unappealing. We found the cinema despite it being without any large roadside advertising, but we realised that this was no ordinary cinema when we went inside. Comfortable tables, chairs and settees were everywhere, as this was not just a cinema but also a cafe and bar. But when we went in for the film we were astounded to see comfortable armchairs, settees, large comfortable cinema seats and even 2 vehicles(one a Morris Minor) that you could sit and watch the film in. An interval midway through allowed drinks, ices and a range of goodies to be brought back in for the second half of the film. The most comfortable cinema seat I can remember in the most unusual cinema I have ever been in. What a gem.
