“A lovely spot...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

Webster's on Wanaka offers luxurious comfort in beautiful surroundings. Liz and Neil's welcoming personalities ensured a delightful experience for us. Liz recommended a wonderful restaurant (Capriccio's) and kindly called and reserved a table for us. Her delicious breakfast was a perfect send-off. Highly recommended.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Once checked in and a great conversation on where to go and what to see on a short stopover you really made the most of your time here. Capriccio's is a really popular restaurant with many of our guests. We offer to book in guests to any restaurant they choose to drop them off and pick them up so both can enjoy a bottle of wine without concern for parking and driving, I trust the rest of your trip went well.

Probably the best place we have stayed at on our 6 week trip of NZ. We had the Rob Roy room which has lovely unsurpassed views and is beautifully decorated. The hosts Liz and Neil were lovely and nothing too much trouble, they had lots of info around the area and booked restaurants for us (essential in the Summer!), ran us down to town and picked us up afterwards, provided canapés and drinks around 6pm and even had bikes for guests use. The little extras and attention to detail was very evident and much appreciated. Liz is lovely and very easy to chat to.

Room Tip: All look good but Rob Roy is very nice

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of the time you spent here at the lodge. You have captured much of the little extras that we offer knowing that it is what adds real value to your stay. It was a pleasure to host you and we made sure you had the benefit of all the local knowledge we have on our region. Staying for more than one night really helped you get a real sense of Wanaka and what it had to offer. I trust the rest of the trip went well and know from chatting with you about your travels we may see you back in Wanaka again.

at Websters o Wanaka was a true delight. While a little out of the centre of Wanaka, it's only a couple of minutes by car. Lovely views from your room, Attention to detail by hosts and meals by Liz are delish. We cannot recommend this place enough for a very comfortable B and B. Liz gave us bikes to ride when she heard we were going to rent two, helped us plot our route, made great suggestions for the various things we were interested in. An extremely pleasant lady and husband who don't stand on ceremony.

We were so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for sharing it with others through your review. The free bike hire is so popular here and very convenient to be able to hop on the bikes here at the lodge and ride the tracks and trails or head into town for a coffee or wine. With over 50km of tracks to choose from you are spoilt for choice, I know you were heading off on the Central Otago rail trail after your stay in Wanaka I hope that was a great experience too. You still have plenty of activities to come back to Wanaka and try so we hope to see you again.

Coming off the Routeburn track at 8pm with a bout of giardia was awful, but we were made so welcome by our hostess Liz who upgraded us for free for three nights from the Dublin Bay room to the Rob Roy room! She was so lovely (she had to wait up til 11:30pm for us to arrive and field calls from my anxious father in Sydney whom we'd not yet contacted) and she made the most delicious breakfasts including warm croissants with homemade jam and eggs and bacon. The bathroom was huge with heat lamps and the bed was super comfortable for our aching muscles. The view outside was just stunning. We could never thank her enough and we definitely recommend it if you ever stay in Lake Wanaka.

We do offer to go the extra mile to ensure our guests have everything so it was very fortuitous that we were able to offer you a complimentary upgrade to make your 3 day stay more comfortable and also the use of the laundry to clean up after tramping for many days. We hope to see you are back in Wanaka exploring more of our national parks

Liz and Neil are fantastic hosts - very friendly and helpful and they offer various finishing touches such as offering drinks and nibbles on arrival and a lift to and from town in the evening (just a few minutes away by car) so that guests are able to have a drink with their meal. The house is beautiful and set in a lovely quiet location overlooking the mountains. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean and with a balcony and the breakfast is also very good.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience of your stay with us. You have captured what is important to us which are those personal touches that ensure guests always have a great stay. The courtesy car, providing a reservation at local restaurants to ensure they get a table and hosting complimentary drinks with guests and ensuring they have everything and anything they need are all part of our service that makes a real difference.

We enjoyed a relaxing three night stay in this beautiful home with amazing views.
Liz and Neil were very friendly and helpful hosts. A Comfortable bed and immaculate well appointed rooms with a balcony and a view.
Breakfast was more than adequate and well presented.
We were welcomed with a glass of wine and nibbles as well as a supply of delicious muffins with our coffee in our room.
We hope to return and can highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Thank you for sharing some of the highlights of your stay. We remember you were overwhelmed by the offer of our premium room with its private balcony and all the little extras you weren't expecting. You told us you especially loved the chance to chat with others at breakfast and said you were spoilt for choice on what to have at breakfast. The complimentary platters, the wine, the hosting, access to the spa, the courtesy car are our point of difference and all help add value to our rooms for our guests.

We spent one night here and wished we were staying longer. Liz was a lovely host and went out of her way to help us with bookings and activities. The room was immaculate with a great view. It's an enjoyable 2km walk out of town but Liz also kindly offered us a lift. She also cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

Many thanks for offering your review. I remember it was just a quick overnight stay but pleased to host you and offer to book you into activities and a massage at short notice. I remembered you especially appreciated the quiet location and fantastic views. We do offer the courtesy run into town which is around 3-4mins drive but is such a bonus if both having a drink with a meal. Also handy for a pick up or drop off to and from the walking tracks.
