I had been searching the Internet for ages for a perfect place to stay and then I decided to look in my guide book and found Peak Sport Chalet, it was just what we had been looking for, somewhere for the two of us with facilities to cook our own food, a great location with a view of the snowy mountains from the bedroom. The fire heated all the rooms amazingly and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was great. Alex and Christine were excellent hosts with good local knowledge of outdoor activities, the milk and cookies on arrival was very welcomed! I would recommend this place to anyone and I would go back anytime.
Thank you.

We stayed there for just one night, but Alex was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed! My parents were apprehensive about staying at a B&B but the Sportchalet had all the possible amenities we would have wanted -- great heating, spacious, wifi, a full kitchen! The continental breakfast he offers is a steal at only $10, and delicious to boot. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your review. Sorry I wasn't able to meet you in person, but trust Alex looked after you very well. The advantage of staying in a B&B and/or small personal self-contained accommodation is the individual contact between guests and hosts. We take pride in making our guests stay an outstanding experience to remember. Glad you and your parents liked it and hope to host you again.

Although a very short drive A fantastic place with excellent quality amenities provided especially in the kitchen and the bathroom (heated flooring was very welcome in the winter). Our stay was extremely comfortable and we thought it was one of the best places we have stayed throughout our travels across New Zealand. Our hosts were really friendly and nice, and offered great advice on driving routes in the region. We only wish we had a longer stay there!

A few minutes out of the shopping area but a lovely quiet spot with a delightful view of Black Peak. Owners were very friendly and very helpful. Unit was extremely comfortable, clean with well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, chairs, and settee. Wood burner fire made it very snug.
Only negatives were we couldn't get the can opener to work and the parking area was a little tricky to negotiate.

Thank you for your review. We really enjoyed hosting you and your information about gluten free will benefit a lot of our future customers.
Sorry about the can opener, we didn't know it wasn't working any longer, as it still looks absolutely fine, but you are right - we couldn't make it work either. Needless to say, we replaced it.
Thanks again

Great chalet. Very clean and well set up; great kitchen. We stayed as a family with 4 adult children - we just found that two people had to sleep on the couches (beds) which were comfortable but unsuitable for tall people. Our hosts were extremely hospitable. A strong recommendation for this lovely lodge.

Thank you for your response. We always aim for the most comfortable stay of our guests and we are glad to learn that you liked our Chalet. However, I would like to make a comment about the sofa beds. Our web-site indicates that there are 2 sofa beds, one in the twin room and one in the lounge. Your booking was done via an online booking agent and on their web-site it clearly states there are 2 sofa beds used for 6 guests. The sofa beds are over 2m long and both my husband and I have tried them for 1 week to make sure they live up to our expectations. Direct bookings will get sent out an e-mail confirming the bedding details, but we will make sure from now on to include this with bookings via online agents as well, should add. bedding be required. Thank you for letting us know.
We do hope to host you again when you come back to Wanaka and looking forward to it.
