Great and spacious accommodation, close to lake. Everything was there, even a toy box for the kids.
Alex & Christine made us feel very welcome and were very kind and helpful with great tips to explore Wanaka!

Peaceful, secluded accommodation with friendly hosts. Really enjoyed my stay - Christine and Alex made me feel at home. Short walk from the lake and few minutes drive from town. Everything you need is provided, and accommodation is clean and tidy, with modern facilities and comfortable bed. Would recommend, and would definately stay again.

We stayed in the Studio for three nights. The kitchenette is small but fully equipped. Short walking distance to the lake. Two minutes drive to the CBD. Very good internet connection. Quiet. Very friendly and helpful hosts. All in all, excellent stay.

We have appreciated the set-up of the apartment: good bed, kitchen equipment, perfect shower facilities, furniture for relaxation, inside and outside on deck. The breakfast was delicious: homemade bread, marmalade, jam, cake, and strong coffee. Alex lighted a wooden fire in the open fireplace to make us feel comfortable while having breakfast on a chilly rainy day. Conversation was open and informative on any aspects of life in NZ we German visitors were interested in. In this respect, our stay with the German-born Kiwis Christine and Alex has enriched our NZ-experience in many ways.

Unbelievably great experience here. One of the best decisions we made on our entire New Zealand trip. We stayed in the chalet that had a nice big bed, great shower, lounge area with real wood (and warm!) fireplace, a small but well stocked kitchen and table. Felt like home. Alex is an incredibly friendly and helpful host. He gave outstanding advice on what to do, what to see, and where to eat in our time in Wanaka. It's the little touches that count here. Extra kindling and fresh wood by the fireplace for the 2nd night. Milk in the fridge to accompany a French press with tea and coffee in the kitchen. A handcrafted guidebook with maps and hikes for the area. The high quality towels and body wash provided in the bathroom (not to mention the heated floor). The relaxing breakfast of cereal and muffins in the morning with Alex and his wife Christine telling us their story and what makes Wanaka great. They recommended a short half-day hike to us that was barely mentioned in any other guidebook, and it turned out to offer the most spectacular views of our entire New Zealand trip.

Highly, highly, recommended.
