We found Berry Farm through the New Zealand Bed & Breakfast book, as we did all the B&Ns we stayed at in our 3 week trip of NZ. All the B&Bs were very good but Berry Farm was outstanding and was the very best we stayed in during our holiday. Annette & Bob are both great & have a wealth of knowledge about the area, they gave us excellent advice re eating places, Lone Star & The Reef, and gave us useful pointers for our onward journey. I had the best nights sleep and the breakfast was amazing.

A true haven of a place to stay very much enjoyed the personal touch without intrusion, it had the most fantastic view and beautiful breakfast, I honestly thought the raspberries were fresh even though it was September. Tips for places to go and see were spot on. Thanks guys for a great couple of days.

We were given Annette and Bob's address by a very helpful neighbour up the road after she had phoned them to see if they had any spare rooms. They had, and we were greeted by the lovely Annette who showed us to a smashing room with en-suite. After a good chat, she recommended that we go to the Lonestar for a meal which we did, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had had a long day travelling down from Greymouth, and the farm was peace and quiet. Next morning we had a smashing breakfast and I sampled lots of their berries which accompanied the cereal. Whilst sitting at the breakfast table we met Bob and chatted for ages. We said what we were planning to do and Annette straight away said she would book us a room in Te Anau because we would probably have a job to find one! She booked us into the Red Morph Motel which overlooked the lake and was very comfortable. Also, Annette booked us our trips to see the Glo Worm Caves and also our trip on the boat at Milford Sound. By doing this, she saved us a lot of time as our schedule was very tight.

We only wished we could have stayed longer with them, but we would thoroughly recommend The Berry Farm to anyone who found themselves in this region. Bob sat and told us a lot about the region and about the farm.

Annette & Bob, if you read this, please pass on our undying gratitude to your neighbour Jeoanne (I think that was her name). Without her help (cup of tea and muffin) we would never have stayed at such a lovely farm, met such lovely people, and had such a good night's sleep!

On 3/5 as we were confirming our reservation for that night in Wanaka, our accommodation informed us that they would recommend not staying with them, due to current occupants that were rowdy.
They referred us to another B & B in Wanaka, The Berry Farm.

We must have all the luck. What a wonderful two nights we spent with Annette and Bob. They were excellent hosts, their breakfasts were supurb, their recommendations for restaurants for dinner we great and overall we were happy to stay and sad to move on.

During our 20 night stay in NZ these were definately two of the best nights.

The B & B wing of the home is new and comfortable, great beds and ensuite bath. Their home is decorated with art from their various trips around the world. The berries make the breakfast as they have several acres and greenhouses under cultivation.

Some B & B hosts, seem like waiters in restaurants, Annette and Bob, sit down and are friends. Their personality and their willingness and ability to communicate with us made our stay memorable.

If you happen to stay in Wanaka, enjoy dinner at the Reef.
If you like wine, I would recommend the Mt Difficulty winery in Bannockburn. Beautiful views and a great platter lunch.

To other travelers, our highest recommendation for the Berry Farm as an accommodation. For reference we are in our late 50's and from the U.S. However, I believe that their hospitality would cover generations and nationalities.
