Ann & Blyth were exceptional hosts and we would recommend this B&B to anyone. We hope to return to NZ within a few years and will certainly have Waiorau Homestead on our list of accommodation.

Stayed for 2 nights en route from Franz Josef to Wanaka. It was a real highlight of our stay in NZ. Beautiful views from every angle. Ann and Blyth could not have been more accommodating; we were welcomed like members of the family. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. Dinner (cooked by Blyth) was a real gastro treat - salmon the first night, lamb the second. Restaurant quality fare. Our hosts were relaxed and helpful but above all extremely good company. We didn't get around to using the pool or spa but both looked very tempting. Finally, they were absolutely brilliant with our 12 month son. We would recommend to anyone passing within 100 miles.

We have stayed at luxury B&B's throughtout the world, often found through Trip Advisor, but this one is hands down, number one in our books. Ann and Blyth overwhelmed us with their hospitality and generosity at every turn and we could not have felt more at home in their beautiful house. Our room with ensuite was beautifully decorated and huge, with a walkout to the terrace from which we could enjoy a stunning view of the Cardrona Valley. We had full use of the living room, complete with large screen TV, fireplace, heaps of books and DVD's. Better than home! Everything offered was top of the line - toiletries, complimentary wine, a welcome cheese platter - no sparing of expense to please their guests. Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy Blyth's culinary skills. Dinner was a gourmet experience which we enjoyed twice, it was so good. The second day, we went "into training" and skipped lunch to make sure we could fully enjoy our next meal. You will find fresh seasonal ingredients, skillfully prepared and artfully presented. The same applies for the delicious cooked breakfasts. We are sorry to be leaving this beautiful place as it is fairly certain that we will not find its equal during the remainder of our trip.

We booked 3 nights and stayed 4 because we found that Waiorau Homestead is such a great B&B.

The whole house is beautifully decorated in a modern style, and our room was very spacious, with a king bed and a spare single bed. Our bathroom was huge, with a spa bath and separate shower. Although it was across the hall from our room, robes and even slippers were provided. I believe the other 2 rooms have ensuites, though smaller. We were welcomed with a cheese plate, dips and wine. Breakfast was delicious with yogurt, cereals, croissants and eggs cooked in any way. They have quite a good DVD library which you can watch either in your own room or in the lounge, and there is WIFI.

Ann and Blythe are wonderful hosts. There were so many little things they did for us to make our stay more special, such as offering us drinks, helping us with trip planning, letting us use their kitchen to prepare our lunches etc, and Ann even gave us a bottle of local wine and chocolates.

We enjoyed the country location and the pub down the road is great for dinner if you don't want to drive into Wanaka. We didn't eat dinner at the B&B itself, but the other guests that did told us that it was excellent.

We will be back when we next come to Queenstown or Wanaka.

The Waiorau Homestead sets a very high standard in hospitality. Ann and Blake provide an easy welcome to their beautifully decorated home. There has been great attention paid to detail. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the complimentary wine and hors d'ouvres with our hosts and other guests on the evening of arrival. We Canadians enjoyed lingering in conversation with our hosts and other international guests. A very convivial beginning to the evening.
Blake is a fabulous chef and we recommend dining in. This was a five star experience from start to finish. Ann and Blake are very generous with their time and the quality of their service is exceptional. You will NOT be disappointed.

Although we had reserved ahead we were not sure where we were going. However upon arriving we were not disappointed. What a beautiful home and wonderful hostess. The rooms, lounge and dining area, were beautifully decorated, very modern. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Ann was a gracious hostess. Loved the dogs,Basil and Beatrice.

Not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said, but this place is fantastic and Blythe and Ann are incredible hosts. Not only is everything 5 star quality, but there are very few places in the world where we have felt this welcomed. It's worth the flight to NZ just to stay here.
