Lime Tree Lodge is an exquisite B&B in Wanaka. We stayed for 5 nights for a ski trip in August and would definitely return. The accommodation is luxurious and the beds are one of the comfiest I have slept in. It is a very peaceful B&B set in beautiful grounds just on the outskirts of Wanaka with magnificent views of the snow capped mountains. What is special about this B&B is the hosts. Rebecca and Sally make you feel so welcome and at home from the minute you arrive. They cook a fabulous breakfast, made to order with all local produce. Of an evening they serve a drink of your choice and canapes which you can enjoy in your room or in front of the roaring fireplace. They are very knowledgeable about the area and can make fantastic recommendations on where to go and what to eat. When it comes to B&B's, this is definitely one of the best I have ever stayed in. Rooms are cosy and have everything you need, with gorgeous ammenities. The moisturiser was my favourite with the most fantastic scent. Our 5 nights at Lime Tree Lodge was too short so will have to return again in the future.

We started our honeymoon here and it was perfect. Excellent food and home comforts with the added luxury of spa pool and log fires at the end of a day's skiing. Sally and Rebecca are wonderful hosts on hand with advice and tips on how to maximise your enjoyment in Wanaka. The Lime Tree Lodge is perfect for people wishing to escape from the town into quite surroundings but you will need a car to access Wanaka.

We stayed for 5 nights as part of a Wanaka based ski trip with two young children. Lime Tree Lodge is excellent from the post ski hot-tub to the pre-dinner hors d'oevres (home made and the kids were fighting over them!) . Sally and Rebecca were fantastic hosts. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was clean and very comfortable complete with log fire. Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning and the additional option of a privately cooked meal from a local chef (Brona) was worth every penny. The kids enjoyed a round on the small pitch-and-putt course and loved meeting the sheep and chickens (who provided the breakfast eggs). Lime Tree lodge is a bit out of town which gave the kids space to run around. We look forward to going back.

A very relaxing stay for our family including two teenage boys. Our hosts Sally and Rebecca were friendly, helpful, efficient and handled our needs without any fuss. We were left to our own devices but as soon as anything was required they were onto it. The lodge is conveniently placed within close proximity of Wanaka township and also the local ski fields which the reason we were there. For non skiers, there is also wealth of activites including biking, walks etc. The food was great and we would definitely stay there again.

We travelled across NZ for nearly 4 weeks and put budgets to one side;
Of the many places we stayed this was one of the very best.

As always there is a price for quality and excellence and whilst expensive we left feeling that it was good value, as opposed to some places we stayed which just did not deliver.

Rebecca and Sally the owners and hosts were superb- engaging, positive, committed to service excellence and great on details and touches that are too numerous to mention.
We enjoyed it more than the Mandarin Oriental !

The rooms were of a very high standard, luxurious without being overly fussy and stylishly and sensitively appointed, with all facilities and a huge collection of ( good) music.
The attention to detail was very high.

The Breakfast was great, like so many high end lodges the focus was on quality and home made and each order was pre cooked with great attention to detail- Lunches were impossible to eat after it !

Details from fresh flowers to a no charge mini bar of quality and the hot tub, pool, pitch and putt and breathtaking views all added up to a great stay in what is an outstanding location
So any areas for improvement ?- hard to fault, except maybe the addition of a gym but with such walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty, who was AC and gym kit when the stunning nature trails beckon at any pace
Thoroughly recommended

My husband and I stayed at the Lime Tree Lodge in March, and our stay was one of the highlights of our trip. The hostesses were eager to help us with restaurant reservations, sights, and fishing. The grounds are beautiful and the hospitality top notch.

The lodge is perfectly located outside Wanaka in a wonderful place. It is a very modern, detailed and well decorated space with all the needed issues solved. To it you have to include the facts that it is managed superbly and they will help you with all kind of hits about the surrounding area and their plenty activities.
