So the buildings are a bit ramshackle but it is essentially a working farm. As everyone has said, the salmon is fresh and delicious. The setting with the lake and mountains is also pretty special. You do have to pay $3 to see the pens which is a bit of a shame. Nevertheless, definitely worth a visit!

I heard from a friend that Thomas Keller at the French Laundry in Napa, CA uses this salmon in his restaurant. I'm not sure how true it is, but I believe it. Worth the trip to the farm to get the hot smoked filets. Oh yum!

We tried & ate the salmon , it was so fresh & delicious. Too bad we could not get in to see more of the salmon farm ( just view from side only ) . Should you be driving don't miss this visit to the salmon farm eventhough it was just to eat the salmon. Believe me one of my friend who don't eat raw fish just could not resist taking a bite & many more bites (haha!).

Though it is the world's highest salmon farm, we were taken aback to see how small the shop is and the variety of fresh salmon sashimi that we can purchase. They ain't cheap and the way the sashimi was sliced was no-good. We should have gone to a Japanese restaurant for some sashimi instead.
