We recently stayed at this resort and could recommend it to anyone. we found the staff to be friendly and very helpful, nothing we requested was too much trouble. The service provided to myself and my family was fantastic. The accommodation was excellent and we found it to be family friendly. We visited the other resorts on Denarau and found the Hilton to be a bit more quiet at night than the others nearby where our friends were staying. The hilton was also a bit more modern than the others.

Room Tip: Request a room as close as possible to reception. This way you will not have far to walk to the pool...

Just had 7 wonderful days at the Hilton in a 1 bedroom villa and would thoroughly recommend it!

Highlights:
1. Lovely room and quality furnishings.
2. Fabulous balcony views.
3. Adults only breakfast and pool.
4. Turn down flowers and chocolate.
5. Wonderful staff.
6. Super fun carts - shame couldn't race!
7. Fantastic coffee.
8. Gorgeous balcony.
9. Consistent room servicing.
10. Pure fiji products availalbe for sale.

Areas to improve:
1. Food still highly priced for quality.
2. Cocktail lessons required!
3. Sinking feeling that the $$$ goes to big international company and not the lovely staff.
4. Spa way over priced!

Room Tip: Rooms all good and nice that they aren't too close. Top tip - buy local food from Nadi market...

We stayed a single night at this resort. the room was exquisite, just as it appeared on the website. Immaculate, well set out, with the "Hilton" stamp on the room, beautiful and comfortable. Reception staff were very helpful, courteous and lovely to deal with, as was the Tour desk.
We had booked ahead via the internet and had absolutely no problems checking in whatsoever, we had a query on a charge for breakfast the following day, but it was no problem and was easily sorted out. And from what I observed the following day whilst waiting for our tour pick up, the reception staff were incredibly patient, helpful and professional dealing with front of house (well done, your customer service is well above par!).
During our short stay there were large(or appeared to be!!) numbers of families with small children, it was not possible to have an evening meal without a later evening booking or waiting until the children had departed for the evening! We dined elsewhere.

Thank you very much for your review and glad to read that you have had an overall great stay with us.
I am sorry that you did not find the tranquil surroundings that you expected for dinner. Whilst they are not ‘adults only’, we do feature a number of special events that are mostly patronize by adults: seafood dinner on the beach, private dining on the beach, etc …
We are working on developing our dining offering further, with the recent introduction of a dim sum lunch at Maravu, and will certainly take your comments into consideration.

My family, (wife and 2 kids) just hot back from Fiji and we were blown away by this resort! I have been to over 40+ Hilton's around the world in my travels and this was by far the best.service, best location, best value and best hotel experience ever! This is saying a lot co.spidering my expectations were high based on TripAdvisor and the fact I was using points for the.week stay I had saved for the.last 5 years. Here is why you should stay here:
-we were.greeted with warm smiles, and although no upgrade was available, a tour around the whole hotel by the concierge and a hand written welcome note from the hotel manager in our room
-free children's meals at their two restaurants which allowed the wife and I to endulge in great wine and extras!
-free and safe kids club with staff that went above.and beyond to make kids learn AMD.have fun, (Fijian language lessons)
-poolside activities including frog races, kids activities, and great drink offers
-1 br suite was more than enough room for small family and only 100 meters from the ocean
-amazing food at the restaurants and only a 2 min taxi or Bula bus ride from the hotelto the port with a ton of food options and shopping

I could go on for pages and pages but I can assure you we will be coming and staying here again next year! Even if the cost were 2 times.what they charge it would be.worth every cent ! Thank you.to the staff.and management who made our time there memorable and thanks for the invite to the manager's reception on the beach which blew us away as well.

Ended our Fiji trip with 3 nights in a Studio Beachfront upstairs room....great views and so very clean, good beds (not rock hard like so many Resorts).
Was my adult daughters birthday and she enjoyed some lovely singing, cards and fruit platter along with 2 mini chocolate mousses.
The amazing huge 'BULA' greeting on arrival was fantastic too, some resorts seem to have forgotten how lovely a warm greeting is to receive!
Fantastic pools with the children in their own area, so adults could enjoy peaceful lazing by their pools, good wide steps so no problems getting in and out for us oldies.
Tried both restaurants and liked the Maravu....the small but excellent Cafe was reasonably priced in line with places in Port Denarau and only a stroll away from the pool.
The staff make this Resort....excellent all round from Porters, Reception and Housekeeping.

Room Tip: This property is spread along the coastline so everyone gets a great view, so if you are not keen to...

The management here is very nice and the housekeeping staff is outstanding. Their breakfast buffet and the onsite bakery is good, but check-in and check-out is excruciatingly slow and really needs to be improved. They are poorly trained and not what you want to have to deal with after an 11 hour flight.

The room was lovely and sparkling clean, but the next day we had to deal with construction noise from the adjacent room. It's very difficult to enjoy the lovely view with a the sound of someone drilling into concrete. We tried to ignore it, but the noise went on for hours. We were forced to leave our room to get some peace. This was most unfortunate.

Meals there are a hit and miss, you would be better off going to the Westin. Their new Moo Moo Restaurant is outstanding. At the Hilton I ordered a Thai green papaya salad that I waited 30 minutes for because according to our waitress, the chef had to run out and get the ingredients. When the Thai green papaya salad arrived I was faminished and astonished to find that the dish contained no green papaya. It was poorly prepared and tasted awful. As I mentioned previously, have your meals at the Westin.

It's also a very loud place. It seems to attract a disproportionate amount of boisterous tourists. I think that this is an excellent place for boisterous tourists and families with rambunctious children. The beach and the pools are great. However, if you are seeking a more tranquil retreat I'd advise that you consider other options.

The points that you kindly raised have been taken on-board in order to change processes and improve training. I would simply like to add that various adults only areas have been created (pool, breakfast restaurant, …) in order to respect the peacefulness that some couples seek and find at the Hilton.

This was our second trip to Denarau, the first time was at the Radisson which is an awesome resort, but this time we wanted a 2 bedroom place and the Hilton has lots of 2 bedroom places available (Radisson has none). We couldn't help comparing with the Radisson - which is more compact and beautifully laid out - but can say that the service and professionalism, and overall friendliness of Hilton was better than Radisson. The Hilton is very spread out and the 2 bedroom places seem to be all at the far end but we quite enjoyed walking off our inclusive breakfast every morning and the kids loved riding in the free golf buggies that roam around the hotel.

Others have commented that the Hilton food is amongst the best in Denarau and we would agree, having dined at Radisson, Sheraton and Westin. However we have been pretty happy with the food everywhere. The Hilton currently has a 'kids eat free' policy at certain times of the day, and they do a fantastic kids 'bento box' by the pool.

The Hilton has some great things for kids - a really super kids club, lots of daily activities by the pool, movies in the evening. My son adored the special kids buffet at breakfast (I just had ignore the amount of donuts and muffins he was eating each day!) The swimming pools have a series of wide steps getting in to them which means that non-swimmers don't easily get out of their depth.

However if the Radisson had 2 bedroom places we would probably choose to stay there in future because the layout of the resort is just so lovely, surrounded by gardens and all quite compact. The kids pool there has shade over it and an artificial beach leading in to it which meant they could play with buckets and spades right by the pool, and were rarely in the sun. The kids club is frankly a bit boring looking and we couldn't get our son to go there, but that wasn't too much of an issue for us. There's also a great fish & Chips / Pizzas cafe right on the beach which is great for casual dining with the kids.

No matter where you are in Denarau you can hop on the Bula Bus and go visiting the other resorts and eat there which means you don't feel trapped. There's also a Golf club that does great pizzas (the rest of the food is very average) for a reasonable price, they also have mini golf and other games to try.

One final comment about the Hilton - an unfortunate incident happened to us while we were staying there involving another guest. It was no fault of the hotel but we were upset the next day when noone from the hotel had contacted us to check how we were doing. I went to see the manager and was greeted by a really lovely guy who was very kind and apologetic and even gave me a hug! He did all he could to reassure us and to manage the situation which we much appreciated.
