We only stayed one night at The Terraces. The resort is nothing fancy but the two bedroom suite was quite nice and very clean. Perhaps needed a little updating.

Breakfast was basic but it was cheap so didn't expect gourmet.

We didn't have much contact with staff but the people we did speak to were friendly enough.

We did have an issue at check out - upon booking, we were told by the General Manager that the transfer from the airport was included in the quote provided. On check out, we were charged for it. I queried it and was told that the General Manager had no knowledge of saying that it was included. Luckily, I had her email stating that was included so we weren't charged. Just take your paperwork with you.

Tips - have dinner at the marina 100mm away. Lots of choice, lovely location.

Overall, nice but nothing special.

We stayed at the Golf Terraces in Denauru for two nights from 15 October 2011 based on Tripadvisor reviews and were very impressed. We were welcomed to the hotel by very friendly staff and J.J. took us to our room at the left hand side of the building. Our room (118?) was a self contained apartment with separate lounge/living area (incl. comfortable couches and LCD TV with many channels) and kitchen with large fridge, dishwasher, counter space, crockery and cutlery. The view from our room was across a canal and onto the fairway of the golf course nearby, free wi-fi was a definite value-adding feature.

The two split system AC units and ceiling fans cooled the room very quickly following our arrival.

Being so close to the Denauru Marina we walked across the road to the (overpriced) supermarket and restaurants and it was possible to charge dinners from Cardo's and two other restaurants to the room. Having a large fridge in the room made it possible for us to buy large bottles of soft drink and water and keep them in the room which wouldn't have been possible in a resort with a bar fridge. Mini bar prices are pretty much the same as you'd pay in a supermarket and not over priced like you'd find in a large resort.

The day after our arrival we visited Nadi ($12 Fijian each way) where we bought some souvenirs (necklaces etc), we were very surprised to find on our return that the souvenirs are actually cheaper at the hotel and the lady selling them is also a really nice person.

Breakfasts at the pool were ok and the head chef took out his guitar to play music which was a wonderful personal touch. The pool itself was also really nice, our son loved swimming in it.

The Bula Bus stopped at the resort and we spoke to a couple on the ferry to Mana (where we stayed for 6 nights) who had gone to the Golf Terraces for massages, apparently the spa is quite good too.

When we were ready to depart one of the porters drove us in a golf buggy to the marina which was a great service.

Our neighbours from NZ said they'd stayed there quite a few times over past few years which is testament to the quality and friendliness of the place, we'd definitely stay there again too.

Room Tip: Our room (I think 118) at left hand side of lower level had good levels of light and was far enough...

My husband & I & 2 teenagers stayed here 1 night before going to Amunuca Island resort by South Sea Cruises the next morning at 9 am. We would stay here again . It was clean, comfortable, VERY spacious. Our bedroom was seperated from the kids bedroom by 2 bathrooms. It was a little noisy at bedtime from adjacent rooms.Staff were quick to come when my daughter accidently locked herself out of the kids bedroom.
Very tasty dinner at the Hog's Breath Cafe . Kids had take away chicken back in the appartment. We bought breakfast from the local supermarket - 2minutes walk & ate it in our appartment . It had a dishwasher & a washing machine & dryer. Only thing because we were so close to the Marina we nearly missed the boat !!

Room Tip: Upstairs , as less noisy.

We arrived after a plane journey from Auckland and we thought we were in a builders yard. They wanted to put us in one of the apartments which was having the balcony renovated , which would have meant no balcony for a week also scaffolding and workmen painting and other building work directly in our view and only 3feet from our window.Eventually they agreed to give us another room which was 12 ft from the building work. This room was very basic and only just okish. During our weeks stay it was impossible to stay by the pool because of the noise and mess everywhere, so we went to the other resorts which were much better. The staff were in the main really nice apart from a few, who were not friendly. We booked through e bookers who have said the terraces did not inform them of the ongoing work, however the management at the terraces said they informed all companies of the work.

We stayed at The Terreces one night in between several nights at The Pearl and a stay at The Blue Lagoon in the Yasawas. We wanted a location that was comfortable, but more importantly, convenient to the Marina, as we were leaving the next morning on the catamaran to the Blue Lagoon.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found that our room was really a small apt. We had a kitchen, living room (with Flat screen TV and pull out sofa) and a large bedroom and bathroom with washer and dryer! We took advantage of the washer and dryer as we took the island shuttle around the island to look at some of the other resorts. We had dinner at the Marina, which was just across the parking lot. There were several restaurants and shops there and places to buy food and beverages to take to our next stop. We walked back over later after our son arrived (from Sydney) to take him to dinner.

The following morning, we had breakfast there on the patio by the pool. We were a 5 minute walk from the Marina and the ride up the Yasawas. In a nutshell, a clean, convenient place to stay with friendly, helpful staff.

Room Tip: We were on the ground floor not far from the office and close to the pool.

Our group of 10 (6A + 4C under 4) stayed here for 7 nights. We were initially booked into 2 x 3 bedroom apartments, but during final confirmation emails we were advised that these are currently being renovated (the balconies are being extended), so we changed our booking to 3 x 2 bedroom apartments. Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful staff and welcome drinks, our apartments weren’t ready as it was only midday, so we stored our luggage and headed to the port for lunch.
When we returned and walked into our apartments we were thrilled, they were large, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable and they had allocated adjoining apartments for us. The apartments were located on the 1st floor and were two stories, the bottom level contained the kitchen, lounge/dining, toilet/laundry, balcony and the top level contained the two bedrooms (king or 2 singles and a queen bed) and each had an ensuite (great feature). All apartments overlook the 3rd tee of the golf course and the gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; Reshni was an absolute delight and a real asset to the business. Two of our group enjoyed an hour massage in the day spa, and couldn’t believe it was so cheap. The pool was very enjoyable; our children had it all to themselves on many occasions. The toddler area was perfect for them, and the adults could still do laps without dodging the kids! Filly & Milly were wonderful; they looked after our children on our last night so we could enjoy a dinner at the port.
Overall we had a great stay, I know most people only use this place as a stopover, but we couldn’t fault our week long stay and would definitely return. It was certainly our home away from home! It is so nice to have self contained facilities instead of a hotel room when travelling with small children. We could just jump on the Bula bus to enjoy the restaurants at the other resorts if we didn’t feel like cooking, and the port is right across the road so it was a 2min stroll to the shops there.
We were very sad to leave, especially when all the staff sang to us in the lobby during our check-out. Our parents returned that night for the GM drinks, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Finally, the very reasonable price of the apartments in comparison to the hotels meant that our large family group could enjoy a longer holiday in Fiji!! Thank you for such wonderful memories

We stayed at Golf Terraces for two separate nights, the night before taking the Yasawa Flyer to the Islands, and the night before heading to the airport. Both times our room was huge, very clean, had everything we needed if we would've wanted to cook some meals (including a small grocery store less than a 5 minute walk away), and the pool and surroundings were beautiful.

In terms of location, it was just a 2 minute walk from the main port area where we could grab our Yasawa Flyer tickets and hop on, so no stress when needing to catch to boat early in the morning. Many restaurants and shops were also a quick walk away, and you could grab a small hop on/hop off tour bus which took you through Denarau Island, if you wanted to visit some of the bigger resorts for a meal or some shopping.

Amongst all the hotels on Denarau Island, we found this seemd to be the best bang for our buck by far. We would definitely return.

One thing to keep in mind though - Denarau Island is far from being the real Fijian life experience. If you are looking for a resort-type experience on Viti Levu, or a good spot to catch the Yasaway Flyer, than it's an ideal location.
