The family stayed here for 7 nights. The service and facilities were wonderful at this traditional Fijian resort. The ocean view rooms were really nice and comfortable. Free wifi for the ocean view upgrade also helped. I think the most outstanding feature was the service. Friendly and genuine and certainly not forced. Every one of the staff was there to ensure that you had a great time. Shops on site were nice. Yes it is pricey, but you can expect that with resort accommodation. If you look around the island there are places like the Marina and golf club where reasonable meals can be purchased at a reasonable price. Most reasons have a reasonably priced and more expensive restaurant on site. I have no doubt we will return. Thanks for the great stay!!

I spent 10 days at the Westin, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff was always pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was an awesome feast!! The rooms were very clean and the ocean view was spectacular, especially at night. I would recommend this resort any time.

The hotel offers a: "stay at one, play at three" system with its two adjacent sister hotels, the Sheraton Denarau Villas and Sheraton Fiji. All three hotels are in walking distance along the beach path but a free shuttle also operates.

The adjacent Sofitel is also accessible.

This modern open air resort has a number of adjoining split level pools as its focal point, with ocean views beyond; the sound of flowing water coupled with the birds singing in the trees provides a relaxing oasis. Just a shame it was so busy.

Our upgraded  room was spacious comprising: wet room with both tub and separate shower, reasonable wardrobe space, gowns and slippers, ironing board, safe, TV, coffee making, hair dryer and empty fridge with milk.

Large shuttered windows opened out onto a balcony with seating.

Air-conditioning was effective as was the free WiFi; the latter worked in both the rooms and around the pool area.

Breakfast was fabulous, a great variety to suit all tastes.

Lots of eating choices, nightly entertainment and family friendly the hotel is clean, well managed but expensively priced.

The Port at Denarau is only £2 by taxi (5 mins) and provides a variety of eateries in a sea front setting, whilst being the main transfer point to the islands.

To get the full Fijian experience however, you should combine with an island stay.

Spent four days at the Westin on Denarau Island in a Garden unit with a balcony and views to the lawns and gardens which separate each unit block. Beautifully decorated spacious room with a very comfortable bed, large separate vanity and bathroom with an excellent shower over bath. Good air conditioning and comfortable furniture. I couldn't fault the room in any way. The service is good and the staff very friendly and willing to make your stay a memorable one. The pools are fabulous around a large outdoor area where one can relax and enjoy views to the sea. There is some form of outdoor entertainment every evening.
The beach is not so good, the sand is a little course and a brownish colour, as is the water that laps a rock wall at the edge of the property. I did not see anyone using the beach. The pools are far more attractive for swimming.
The Westin has two expensive restaurants which may have served good meals, but I did not use them during my stay. The restaurant prices are misleading in that there is small print at the base of the Westin and Sheraton menus advising that an additional Government tax of 20% is payable for all food and drinks ordered. The same applies to their bar menus and even the bakery. All other restaurants at adjacent resorts, (which are available for everyone to patronise) are more up front offering similar prices to the Westin and Sheraton but without the addional 20% payable on the final total of the bill. The Sofitel next door is a good example. It would be advisable too, to do your own calculations to convert Fiji dollars to Australian dollars and not rely on the calculations some resorts show on their menus.
Another option is to take the regular yellow bus or the resort's Bula bus to the nearby Denarau Marina where you will find good restaurantrs offering cheaper prices than the resorts.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to have lovely outlooks, but I think those facing the sea will cost you more.

The resort is an average place.
The main draw back is that there is no beach it fronts a stone barrier wall, you need to walk to its sister resort around the corner to have a beach.
We were leaving early in the morning and requested a wakeup phone call, bag pick up, luckily we woke up ourselves as they forgot.

Bula Ozbraids
Thank you for your feedback. My apologies that we failed to meet your expectations during your stay. Whilst we may not have the white sand beach, a lot of our guests use our resort as a good base to explore Fiji and enjoying the signature Westin offerings.
We do hope your overall vacation in Fiji was a positive one.
Warm regards
Ravinder
