I read all the reviews on trip advisor before we left and although they were reasonably positive there were enough negatives to make me a little apprehensive. We stayed there for one night (travelling with another couple who had stayed there before) before we headed out on a 4 night cruise, then back for another 5 nights.
First day, arrived very early on the overnight flight from Melbourne. Not only did they upgrade us from an Ocean Front room to an Ocean studio, we were in our rooms by 8.30am. We also got a 50% discount for the evening buffet meal (which we all thoroughly enjoyed). When we returned after our nights away, once more into our rooms long before official check-in time. Into our booked rooms this time (Ocean Front) not quite as large as the Ocean Studio, but beautifully appointed, very clean and well maintained, and very comfortable. I've read the gripes about the food prices, but really thought they were on a par with typical resort prices. We got the 50% cheaper offer on the seafood buffet on our next check in - and that was fabulous. The marina was a short walk/ bus ride away anyway, and there was also the little coffee place just outside the entrance. Don't recommend the Bula tour of Suva, clapped out bus, (the four of us cost $460FJD in total) and later found out from a taxi driver he would have taken us in an airconditioned cab - stopped where we would have liked etc for $300FJD - oh well next time. That by the way was Coral Sun tours (tour desk in the hotel) so do talk to some of the taxi drivers first. All in all, had a great time - did our own thing. We might try the Sheraton Villas next time so we have the option of the kitchen (seafood amazingly cheap at the Marina supermarket) but no complaints whatsoever about the main hotel, and the very friendly, always obliging staff.

My husband and I went for 6 nights for our honeymoon.. We were greeted when we arrived, and got taken to our room. It was just like i imagined beautiful room. They had put fresh red rose petals on our bed shaped into a love heart, and they had sparking wine on arrival.
People are so friendly, we ate down at the port most days, cheaper food but great also.. we went to the Radisson for drinks every night they had 2 for 1 drinks there every night.
The sheraton was pretty expensive, we had 2 beers when we arrived $18 fiji, Then down at the port you have $3.oo each fiji beer.
We would definatly go back..

MY husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Sheraton Resort Fiji arrived on the 24th - 27th Nov went on the 3 night captain cook cruise returned to the resort on the 30th our anniversary and stayed until the 2nd Dec. We were welcomed on arrival and on the return and greeted by name. All the staff were friendly and made us feel very special, on returning to our room on the 30th they had a beautiful bottle of wine and had placed petals on the bed in the shape of a heart. we had our breakfast at the Feast restaurant and they came out with a piece of cake decorated with happy 25th anniversary the whole staff came out and sang a love song plus a farewell on departure that morning. It brought tears to many eyes including ours we were even asked by a couple did we came here regularly, this was our first time out of Australia. The rooms were great the food was more than you could eat the staff were genuinely happy and friendly . Service with a smile. Will put pics up later.

Such a poor quality for a 5 star resort. No value for money! Kids pool is so small and poor quality. The next door "the Westin" has better kids pool. Buffet has not much to eat. I've been to so many starwood hotels in the world but this was the worst ever!

at least there is some life at this hotel. not some bad 'talent' either ;) hotel rooms dont have wired internet and wireless is unstable. restaurants are good and has a good adult pool. if your thinking westin or sheraton, go the sheraton as it is a bit newer.

avoid this at all costs, to say it was pitifull would be a complement. what seafood was there was obviously defrosted and spent a long spell in the freezer. i crushed one of the crab shells with my hand it was that brittle, some of the prawn heads were black and the oysters did not inspire my confidence. i am not a particulary fussy eater and i struggled to find somthing edible in the rather small variety of seafood that was available. it was a discrace i walked out hungry and was expecting a long night over the toilet bowl after sampling around 5 plates of food and quickly discarding them. the service was poor and at the price $88fg per head it was one of the worst dining exsperiences of my life you would get better quality food at a sizzlers

The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous, nice pools and beautiful, clean rooms. But having travelled to the Coral Coast four days before, Denarau Island and it's lush resorts seem fake and sterile (the beach is man made!). If you're after expensive luxury and can afford the day spa and island trips, then this is for you. Resort prices for beer and food are double to the Coral Coast, and if you're after a cheap meal, the best spot is Port Denarau (a 5 min $6FJ shuttle trip away).

We also had the buffet breakfast included in our package, but the food gave me and my friends bad food poisoning.

Location wise, it's easy to get to Nadi, and is the hotter side of the island. If you want locals, lush vegetation and a unique experience, I wouldn't recommend. Ok for maybe a few days stay, but you're really missing out if you just stay in this part of the island.
