“Great for young and older kids alike”
Reviewed September 14, 2007

We have a three year old and a fourteen year old.
It's pot luck what happens on a hoilday sometimes and no amount of planning or facilities can make a holiday memorable if the weather is bad or the food terrible or you get sick.
So no one got sick Hooray number one reason to go to Fiji and not Bali and Thailand is one never gets the runny belly syndrome. Number 2 great sunny weather almost no rain. 3 five great hotels all within walking distance never had to get into a car. Then there is the other culture the Fijians love children and have not been spoiled, they are always laughing and smiling.
Very spacious rooms and very well cleaned. Lots of towels. Plasma screens and fairly good pay movies and chanels although we only wathced one movie as there was so much to do and so many places to eat. I recommend visiting the market in Nadi with a private driver and buying very cheep fruit and vegetables to have in the room we only went there on the last day but would maybe cook up some local fish for a fraction of the cost of the hotel prices $50.00 FJD for a slice of salmon and two huge reef fish could be bought for $18 FJD which would cost me $100 here at the fish monger. The beach is not so good but we did swim in it and it is safe the pools are all great and we even swam at the pools of other resorts and it was not a problem to find day beds.

A review of our time at Sheraton Villas:
The positives:
Friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, plasma TV and DVD player, balcony facing lagoon pool and with partial ocean view (despite only paying for Lagoon View room - bonus!) Huge Lagoon Pool plus smaller infinity pool, Free 'Bula' (shuttle) Bus to other resorts and Marina, fantastic Golf Course across the road, convenience store, coffee shop, pharmacy located on site, beautifully landscaped and maintained grounds, Fiji weather, Fiji sunsets, Fiji Bitter!

The not so Positives:
EVERYONE checks in and out at Sheraton Fiji Resort, including those staying at the Villas, this can lead to delays. Upon our arrival, we had to stand in line for 20 minutes before checking in.
This is a family resort, if you think you'll be lying by the pool enjoying the peace and serenity, think again. The food is typical resort food - expensive and average. However we ate at just about all the resorts and found most were the same. Consider splashing out on a few good meals at the Sofitel (Salt) or head down to the Marina (Cardo's, Big Mamma's Pizza).

The first of 3 resorts we stayed at in Fiji!
Amazing villa for the money, the pools were fabulous and the service was great. For a BIG resort experience it was perfect. You have use of all three resort pools and restaurants including the Westin. Food and Service great. If your wanting to kick back and be catered too this is the place and the prices can't be beat!

No real beach, in fact it's the Harbor water, but take the trip on the free boat to the Island across from the resort, the beach is much better!

We stayed at the Sheraton Villas at each end of our holiday to Fiji.
When staying in Fiji, we try to avoid staying on the mainland if possible, but sometimes we have to depending on our international flights. We found the Villas lovely. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and willing to help you and the grounds & gardens well cared for. We have stayed at the Westin next door, which we prefer, as we thought was a little bit nicer. The Westin is more in keeping with the Fijian culture.

After reading previous reviews we booked at the Villas and made the right choice. I cant fault the rooms, service or the pools at the villas as they were great. The good thing about staying at the villas is you have access to the Sheraton Fiji and the Westin. The Westin was lovely but the Sheraton Fiji needs a makeover as its very tired looking. My only other gripe would be the prices for food! Very pricey for very average food - nothing special at all. Next time I think that we would look at staying on an island resort.....but had a great relaxing holiday.

In fact I did go back. I stayed here before Christmas just to visit Fiji en route to Sydney from LA. I fell in love with the place, the beautiful scenery, very friendly staff and exquisite rooms. I promised myself I'd go back. After the wedding I attended in Sydney, well, once the party was over and the fireworks were done, I decided to switch flights and spend a few more days there! this time I explored more and traveled the Islands. Awesome place. I still need to get back there. Rooms were reasonable prices and beautiful. Staff awesome. Loved the food, particularly the Indian buffet. This review also goes for the Sheraton Royal, I stayed both places - same complex and beach and amenities. I felt like royalty here. The staff, as I have already mentioned, were just wonderful.

You can see some of my images of the place at [--]

I'll post some here too. See it!
