“Fantastic Family Holiday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

We as a couple have stayed at both the Sheraton and the Sheraton villas - this year we took the family with us, 3 adults Plus Nan and Pop (us) and our 3 1/2 year old grandson- Fabulous holiday nothing was a bother with all staff - check in was great - the Villa was clean and lacked nothing - fully stocked kitchen - dryer, washing machine - rooms cleaned each day, couldnt have asked for a better holiday, ocean view was great and so close to the infinity pool our little one had a ball - would certainly recommend this spot for a great family holiday. We will be back next year

Room Tip: Ocean views are the best

We had a great stay at this hotel. We had a two bedroom villa for our family including seven year old, four year old and a baby. We were surprised and impressed with the spaciousness of the villa. Plenty of room to spread out and fabulously comfortable beds. We had an upstairs villa even though we had a pram because we wanted to avoid people clomping overhead ( bad experience elsewhere). The villas were nice and Quintana very comfortable. The nearby shop and atm were useful, we enjoyed all the facilities at the hotel. Breakfast was good quality although there were sometimes lots of flies. These were quite a problem in some areas of the resort. We enjoyed breakfast at the Westin twice and it was a bit quieter and fewer flies. The Westin generally has a more sedate, modern feel. The Feast restaurant at the Sheraton with its acres of red mosaics was a little dated although the food was good. Staff did seem a little overwhelmed at times.

Kids club was excellent. Clare who runs it was great at connecting with the kids and all the staff were great. Our kids were excited to go.

We had only positive experiences with staff. All interactions were friendly, efficient and helpful.

There is a great choice of pools at the Sheraton and we used the Westin pool and gym too. We would certainly return to the Sheraton, or Westin.

We are returning to the Sheraton Villas again for the second time in less than a year.... Can't wait to write another review!!! Last time was fantastic and this time we are bringing some friends with us. Staying in two x 2 bedoom apartments! The lead up has been good, transfers booked direct, the spa treatments booked and our favourite restaurants too.... See you on the 15th June! The kiddies can't wait.... I just hope it lives up to the expectations....

We have just had 4 nights here in a seafront 2brm room was an upgrade from the lagoon 2brm room I had initally booked. Sadly we have to leave today but have enjoyed every minute. A very lovely room 915 and everyone very friendly and helpful. Food lovely and great being able to use the facilities at the Sheraton, and Westin as well. Unfortunately water activies unavailable andnoone could say why? Lots of Families here not a place to go if you want peace and quiet but we were 4 Adults and it never bothered us still had a fabulous time and would highly reccommend this resort. We found getting around very easy on the Bula Bus and as we were self contained catered for ourselves for Breakfast and Lunch and just ate out for tea all over Denerau. We are off to Castaway for 3 nights and thenback to Denerau for our last 3 nights at the Raddisson Blu so will be good to compare resorts. Thank you for a wonderful 4 days

Dear BoatieYeppoon,

Thank you for your positive comments regarding Sheraton Denarau Villas, the hospitality of our team and our restaurants.

As the watersports are subject to suitable weather conditions, we were unable to operate our watersports activities for a short period of time during some tidal surges that we experienced on the beachfront. I apologise for the inconvenience this caused you during your stay with us.

Thank you for recommending our resort to other reviewers and we do hope that your memorable experience will bring you back to Sheraton Denarau Villas in the near future.

Best regards,
Scott MacDonald

We have just returned from a fabulous 10day holiday in Fiji and cannot rave enough about the experience. We loved the villa, the room was perfect for us with our two small children (5 and 2), perfectly appointed. The rooms themselves are getting a bit tired but I believe they are being renovated at the moment so will be even better! The use of the sheraton and Westin facilities was wonderful as we had a different pool to choose from each day! The only drawback is that the hotel seems to have major problems with their check in system, it just seems to be totally random! Many families that we spoke to over the 10 days had some delay checking in which is the last thing you need with two tired, dirty and grumpy kids. Not sure why they can't get this right like other resorts and hotels we have stayed in (many) where room allocation is smooth and hassle-free. Other than that this is a wonderful place to stay with kids, ours were treated like royalty!

Room Tip: Try to get a renovated room, the rooms are getting bit tired now.

Dear MummyGB,

Warm greetings from Sheraton Denarau Villas!

I am glad to learn that you and your family had a wonderful stay at our Resort and I appreciate your highlights in regards with our Villas, service and facilities.

The often very early international airline arrivals can be a challenging situation to our resorts. Although our check-in time is 3pm we try to accommodate all of our guests based on the current availability of rooms. We recommend that guests should pre-book accommodation for the night prior to their arrival. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you will choose Sheraton Fiji Resort on your next visit to Fiji.

Best regards,
Scott MacDonald

I do hope that your beautiful memory will bring you back to our Resort in the near future.

We recently stayed at the villas in march this year the overall appearance was lovely we stayed 8 nights and got married there staying in the villas seafront with 3 bedrooms we had no sleep the whole time due to renovations after complaining about this we were told they were on a deadline and thats just the way it is all times of night drilling noises the tsnami alarm went off in the middle of the night and frightened us all my kids were screaming! after paying for a full buffet breakfast the last day we left we had to leave early morning promised pastrys with fresh juice got nothing! dont trust snyone there they smell money on tourists one of the staff harassed me for money by phoning me at 5am in the morning ruined my whole trip this stay was our first holiday overseas we got married at fiji but going the whole time with no sleep and officially complaining to the supplier we were offered 20,000 star points as compensation which we still have not recieved this would add up to one nights stay in a villa! so what are we going to do go over there and stay one night pay for flights and everything after emailing them back they said thats all they could offer i didnt tell them about one of their staff harassing us for money as i did not want them to lose their job. Ashame the sheraton failed to impress us we wont be back:-(

A great place of leisure and pleasure (10 km taxi ride from Nadi Airport). Stayed in a gorgeously equipped villa, large bed, three TVs, stereo, bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer. Extra living room and dining.. and close to pools. The beach is romantic to look at but does not compare to places I know close to Brisbane in Australia (my home). But great pools with 'wet bar' are right on the beach line. Alternative pools are available in closely neighboured resorts (Westin and even the Radisson).

The Sheraton provides free WI-Fi.

Restaurants are ample and food is good. Breakfast is in a large ocean-side establishment. Lots of people and children, but decent and extremely variable in terms of diet and choices (gluten-free, omellete, cereal, fruits, coconut juice from the freshly cut nut, all types of eggs, muesli types, bread, rolls etc). The price was included in the room rental. Prices are higher than expected, especially as all purchases attract a 20% GST (sales tax). Drinks and cocktails are also abundant, but a beer cost about A$5, and a cocktail (like a Pina colata) sets you back A$12.

A nice evening treat is to watch the 'fire-dance' at the near-by Westin Resort (150 m!!). It's free of charge, lasts perhaps 20 minutes, and just sets the mood correctly. Amazing hip-movement by the Polynesian dancers, and great fire-handling skills by the male counter-parts.

The staff is extremely friendly with many smiles and good service. The place is pristine-clean and really is matches places in Maui, the Bahamas and other ocean resorts.

If the hotel is too much for you, a near-by marina (maybe 4 km walk away, but cheaply reached by the Bula Bus (about A$4 per day; multiple fares) or the West-bus (for locals and great fun; A$ 0.50 one way)) allows alternative eating and shopping.

The activity scene is large with free water aerobics, etc, but also inter-island excursions by jet-ski or boat. parasailing, kayaking, etc are all offered.

Overall, a great place to just chill out and enjoy the Polynesian culture. I highly recommend it.
