I too have stayed here before but getting what you book seems to be a battle. This time we booked the villas just for my husband and i as my son and his family were staying there and we wanted pool view rooms together. My son arrived a day before us and they put him in a beach view after hassling the staff which isnt what a holiday should be they moved him to the pool side villa.
We arrived the next day to be told our room was not available next to our family and the only villa room available was at the end of the building we had been downgraded from what we paid for and were stupid enough to accept dinner vouchers to keep the peace. We faced the carpark and a little dam outside which we wouldnt use outside cause of the young kids.
Didnt use the vouchers to feast as other plans were made already so we copped it on the chin.
However they left us in the same room miles away from our family and as our stay was short we couldnt be bothered ruining our day.
We spent most of the time with our family in their room near the pool.Really it was a big waste of money last time we stayed sheraton beach front it was nice and cheaper too.Really you cant count on getting the pool side villas i think they fobb off as many as they can cause they are such hi demand. We then did the islands and booked a standard room at the westin on our return prior to departure and the room was so much cheaper and rally nice so unless you stay in the room all the time dont bother the budget stuff is a high standard anyway. The other thing on all our visits to the sheraton friends and family the bills all had lots of stuff billed to the rooms by mistake always get a printout before you leave at least the night before causebthe mistakes are bad savings combined by checking our bills were in the $100s wrong room maybe i have to wonder .Had no problem with billing at the westin. I DONT LIKE PAYING FOR SOMETHING AND THEN HAVING TO PLAY CAT AND MOUSE WITH STAFF TO GET WHAT I PAID FOR. I wont do the sheraton again as far as the westin and the radisson i would go back there no worries. There all good quality including the sheraton but i wouldnt bother again i like stress free holidays without being shafted cause of an over sell. With all the options at Denarau for great accommadation sheraton is only one and dont need the hassles unless you go budget dont bother. Mana island beachside room was terriffic got we got what we paid for and the people there were great including the kids club thanks nino we all loved your help and the kids just loved you and all your staff we will definatley all go back to Mana.wow wow wow !!!

Room Tip: dont bother trying too hard for top of the range cause they downgrade you and give a dinner voucher...

This was my second time to Fiji (the first trip we stayed at the Hilton Denarau) so I had a fair idea what to expect. I knew that the beaches wouldn't be wonderful, the food would be so-so and we'd probably get bored after two days.

Well, I'll openly (and very happily) say I was completely wrong, and the Sheraton far exceeded every expectation I had of Denarau. We arrived very late at night and were greeted warmly in the amazing lobby.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and very quiet. We had a 2br garden view villa (the cheapest) and had a lovely view of a large pond from our balcony. The room was also very quiet as we were slightly away from the main pool and beach (literally a 1 minute walk). Housekeeping was efficient, friendly and thorough.

The grounds of the Sheraton are AMAZING .. very green, spacious, beautiful flowers, gorgeous statues and of course, well kept. The pools are all beautiful (we literally couldnt decide which pools to swim in as they were all great). The lagoon pool was massive, the infinity pool with the swim-up bar was awesome and the 'adults only quiet pool' at the Sheraton was incredibly relaxing. We watched three sunsets from this pool, lazing in the hammocks that were slightly grazing the surface of the pool. No kids and no screaming ... bliss.

The beach was beautiful, even though the water wasn't crystal clear, the sand was clean and fine and raked every morning. The water was warm and lovely.

We ate at the Flying Fish (absolutely incredible .. even had vegetarian options) .. make sure you ask for a beach front table, the Wet Edge restaurant (again, incredible ... simple food but affordable, relaxed and very cheerful), the buffet restaurant (great selection) and the cafe near the lobby (massive pizzas and hot chips). Every restaurant was excellent and affordable.

We also spent a lot of time relaxing on the day beds and hitting the dance floor at Chime (cocktail lounge/night club). Again, incredibly attentive staff, awesome music (thanks Mr DJ!), excellent drinks (about $10AUD for a massive cocktail) and the best fun we've had in ages.

We didn't want to leave the Sheraton and we're already planning our next visit. Bula!

Room Tip: The garden view villas are very quiet and had a lovely view anyway (and they're also the cheapes...

I have stayed here a lot. This time we stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom Villa, which was magic and suitable for our 3 generations.
The Sheraton have done a great job with the pools and the many eating areas.
We attended a family wedding here and the wedding chapel is beautiful.
BUT- we booked a pool view ground floor room and really got the run around on this. First put in a garden view then tried to put us on first floor. We eventually got what we ordered, even after being told they were "full". Im a seasoned traveler and will not accept this sort of thing but am concerned for those first time travelers who may not be so stroppy. So do insist on what you have booked and dont let them tell you it is the travel agents fault as they tried to do with us.

Room Tip: Dont let them put you into anything other than what you have booked

we have stayed here before and this year was really weird. Fridge in our room had old food in it and fixtures in the shower were so loose I thought they may come off. Lots of rude barbaric Aussies- drunk by 10am- must be hard on staff resiliency.

The hotel was very tidy and the reception and people fantastic. Unfortunately staying in Denarau had zero culture and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't stayed in Fiji before.

The villas itself were all good, the only negative being that the beds were very small.

Loads of nice (if pricey) restaurants. The breakfast buffet is good and covers all the favourites.
Great kids club which is free and really engaging for the children. Need a nanny for kids under 4yrs.
Rooms (villas) were on the small side but comfortable, clean and modern.
You get the use of 4 modern clean swimming pools. Some are suitable for kids and there are some adult-only areas. Kayaks are free but not the catamarans.
You could get limited internet for free (in a lounge) or pay lots for it in your room. Why don’t hotels provide inclusive internet along with water and electricity?
Altogether my family had a great holiday at this hotel and would return again.

Room Tip: 2 floors. Some are nearer the Sheraton Resort, some are nearer the Westin.

We have just arrived home from six nights at the Sheraton Villas in Denarau. We chose the villas because we traveled with another couple and wanted a two bedroom apartment with separate areas. The villas were perfect for us! On arrival it was disappointing because the room smelt so musty but we soon figured out that it was fine with the air conditioning turned off and luckily was a lovely temperature with just the ceiling fans going. We were in a ground story, seaview villa and were able to go straight from our room to the pool etc - very nice. We had read that the Wet Edge pool was more for kids but not so - it is very deep and wide and in the morning, before the crowds arrive, it is great for laps.

The purpose of this holiday was to share time with my friend who is unwell (just recovering after her third bought of cancer) so we wanted to be near facilities if needed - the reason we chose Denarau over an outer island. We had hoped she would have been feeling a little better by the time we went away but we did try to make the most of it all. My partner and I swam everyday and also enjoyed long walks around the island - the weather was not too kind to us but there was only one day of heavy rain. There is half an hour a day free internet access (wireless connection) in the Link room at the Sheraton and also free use of computers.

We had bought a Starwood Priviledge card which gave us four group meals at half price and 15% off drinks plus 50% of any meals with my partner. This did pay off during the stay and we were glad to feel more relaxed about paying for the rather expensive meals at the resorts. We especially enjoyed MooMoo at the Westin - the steak really was amazing. We went there twice (with our group discount). My partner and I had a special date night dinner at the Ports o Call at the Sheraton - this was a beautiful restaurant but our food was nothing to rave about. I ordered the steak but it was very tough and full of fat and grissle. We were given a complimentary dessert because of this. The service was wonderful and friendly there though. We had lunch twice at the Wet Edge at the Villas and both times this was good too.

We did not enjoy the Feast restaurant at all. We went there on the first night with a half price voucher they give you on check in. There is not much to say about that, maybe OK for families or those who like to eat quantity over quality?

The swimming pools were all fantastic! No complaints there.

We loved the look of the Westin and if we had been on our own, would probably have preferred staying there. The Sheraton was also lovely and the beach at the front really surprised me, I had read that there is no beach but there really is a wonderful beach and will attach a photo with this review. The Radison looked lovely too and deserves all the wonderful reviews but there were just too many children there for my liking and it wasn't school holiday time either.

We had a massage at the Denarau Spa (at the Marina, to the left of the main shopping complex). This was amazing... the best massage we had ever had. Lovely friendly ladies there and a very relaxing professional environment. I highly recommend this.

We had a lunch at Lulu's (at the Marina) and that too was delicious and cheap. We also had dinner at the Italian restaurant and that was great too. Service can be bad/slow but hey, you're in Fiji... relax :) We never bothered with the Bula bus because $5 per taxi ride for four of us made more sense. It took no time to walk between resorts either.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and I liked Denarau far more that I expected I would.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked good!
