Delicious food, outstanding service and nice atmosphere - what else could you want?

My boyfriend and I were quite hungry and ordered entree and main (he had ribs & I ordered the lobster mornay). It came quickly and was packed full of flavor - like nothing we've ever had before!

The service was outstanding. We quickly formed a great relationship with or waitress and she was very attentive (we even returned the following day for cocktails to see her again!).

The dinner was served outdoors with a small Fijian band singing and playing instruments. They would break every 30 minutes or so for "kava time" which we participated in.

We will be back!

My husband and I went to Nadina on Christmas Eve and really enjoyed the food and (finally) cold beer! Pleasent location, lovely sunset if you can get a table close to the water and complimentary Kava with some background music. We had cassava chips for entree (delicious!!) and specials for mains.
We wanted to order a traditional fish cooked underneath the earth but the waitress said "allow 40 minutes to be cooked". We were hungry so got 2 options from the specials... It took nearly 50 minutes for the mains to come... so by the time we got the food we didnt really enjoy it as we were starving!
Worth the visit though, but surely ask for some good entrees if hungry.

I had the preconception that Fijian cuisine was all about basic pig, fish and root vegetable dishes (read: boring). Well, I was wrong

Be amazed by the freshness of the produce and the size of the meals. Having spent two weeks in Fiji we had not come across such fresh produce and as a result most other meals had seemed mediocre. Our waiter told us that the restaurant grows all its own vegetables so they don't have to rely on any suppliers. Nadina also extracts its own coconut cream and milk (so no tinned ingredients are used).

Don't expect typical Fijian service - the waiting staff are actually quick; efficient and attentive, and meals come out well prepared and timely. A wonderful pier location overlooking the harbour where you can listen to a local band while watching the sun set. Kids are certainly welcome.

After reading all the positive reviews on here we made a beeline for Nadina on our second night of 17. We were sooo disappointed. Perhaps we just chose badly from the menu. We had beef curry and the lamb shank. Both were so tough and dry, and the flavour very lacking.

The guitarist was sweet but it was a little disconcerting sitting opposite him with a sign saying 'tips'. Other establishments along the waterfront had free live entertainment.

At the end of the meal on our departure we were told 'make sure you put a good review on Trip Advisor!'.

I know there is little to be done about the incessant flies but they were so off putting.

For $175FJD (2 mains and 3 kids' meals) we found better value and standards elsewhere.
