There are a few items I will never eat again...the pork ribs are 90% fat!
if you go to this spot seafood is the only way to go.
My wifes favorite is the Ika tavu-
flamed grilled fish with lite butter and sea salt marinade served over steamed local fern with sides of smoked egg plant and a lemon/chilli water for dipping your fish. Its sooooo good! fresh Wahoo steak!
My favorite is the "Ika Valolo" which is the same cut of wahoo slow cooked in coconut milk and onion...
TO GOOD! watch out for bones and enjoy.
(you have to go around Indigo indian restaurant to find the hidden Nadina restaurant. The hosts at Indigo try their best to welcome and corral you into their seating...you gotta be quick and say, "Im looking for the Fijian restaurant!?"

Everybody recommended this place so I went. And kept returning. Had my last meal there. Waitress Aggie was a real pleasure. Very accomodating and helpful. Also enjoyed some music and a kava session. Easy to find & get to from the resorts there and near a bunch of other shops. This will go down as one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

This is what I wrote to accompany I pic I posted in Flickr of: My last meal in Fiji. Nadina's is famous for using all local ingrediants and traditional Fijian cooking. This is Walu fish cured with local native lemon juice in a seasoned very mild cocout milk and absolutely delicious! Two salads - one of baby native fern shoots and a cabbage salad. A spread for the steamed Taro (bottom) & Casava (top), is a smoked eggplant. Garnish is a hot pepper brought by the Untouchable
Indians who immigrated several generations ago. They made a great Mojito too. And service was outstanding. Very reasonable prices.

After reading the reviews we decided to go to Nadina. I have never written a review, but, felt compelled to shaposeur positive experience. The service was way above standard and the meals were worth a second visit. In fact we are considering another visit to have those amazing fresh clean flavours again. Nadina felt like a true Fijian culinary experience. Definitely recommend the fijian salad of fern leaves, the kovu and the lobster and the kokoda. There is enough relaxed island cheekiness coupled with wonderful food, a pride in service and delicious dishes. Well done Nadina you deserve many years of prosperity.thank you for putting Fijian food on the map and greasy fried food off the menu.
