Excellently organised, fun day out on the water.

The boat is well maintained and comfortable.

The food is good, especially the cakes for morning and afternoon tea.

We were lucky with snorkeling as the visibility was perfect, there was so much to see in the water. Lots of different types of fish, starfish, coral and sea cucumbers!

The island is perfectly sized for the number of people on the boat and has shady areas.

“Perfect day out”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

This was our second island trip during our stay at Denerau and if it had been our first island trip we would have done it twice.
Amazing crew! Funny helpful and very entertaining.
The snorkelling on the reef prior to reaching the island was breathtaking.
The island itself is picture postcard perfect.

“We had a fantastic time with great crew members.”

We booked this tour as its such a small island and not so touristy with masses of other tourists. It was recommended by our hotel. We had a one hour drive to the port then jumped on the boat for the one hour trip to the island. We had slices and free drinks it was fantastic, we went up and sat with the captain for a while and he showed us all sorts of things. We had the option of doing a snorkel tour of the boat before going to the island, we jumped out for a few minutes but it was not very good. We then jumped on the boat and headed for the island we got a great spot the lunch was delicious and my friend got a massage. The only disappointing thing about the entire trip was the low tide so it was a little difficult to go swimming etc. Overall I would do this again it was a nice relaxing trip. Better then the big resort type island trips.

“Ok but not the best”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The staff were very friendly and although the idea of snorkelling off a sand bar in the middle of the ocean sounds great, the snorkelling, was not as great as expected. Unfortunately, this is not the fault of the company, but the fact that coral bleaching around the sand bar and effects of the recent hurricane, have done so much damage, it was very expensive, to see very little. There is evidence of regeneration of coral but it will take years. Also there was not that much oportunity for snorkelling out of a whole days' excursion (this goes for all tours that we went on, 3 in all) as the conditions in the afternoon are that the tides recede and water clarity is poor and a little rough if you are not a confident swimmer. I was guided out alone, a little further by one of the guides, and saw a lot more than most. The BBQ was the standard ho hum of all the tours. A pleasant day, but not the luxury experience it porports to be.
