We had a fantastic day on this cruise, you are so well looked after from the moment you board this boat, they make sure you have plent to drink to stay hydrated, the BBQ lunch was really good and the left overs we used to feed baby sharks, what an experience. You can snorkel, glass bottom boat rides, if you want to get you're license to scuba you can at an extra charge or if experienced and qualified it is part of the cruise.

The beaches on the island are beautiful and plenty of shade under umbrellas. There is no place to change, we suggest you wear your swimwear underneath your clothes, it is much easier, there is no toilet on the island so they take you back to the big boat for that.

Great friendly and very obliging staff, we could not have asked for better treatment. They really go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having a great time.

We highly recommend this trip to everyone

OK, so my experience of Savala was probably not as good as others on my trip - I tripped over coral and cut open my knees - but it was a great trip. It was cheaper than some of the other day trips from Port Denarau, the island was beautiful with great views back to the mainland, the water was fantastic, there was plenty to see underwater and activities were free (nothing motorised though). Lunch and entertainment was put on by the staff and in my particular situation, first aid treatment was slow but staff kept me company while I was waiting. Looking out over postcard views is the best first aid treatment I've ever received.

The only hangup I had was the quality of the "sand"; it was more like small shells due to the size of the island and the reef surrounding it. After my coral mishap I was dubious to go walking in the water as the sand was filled with rocks and coral. If you can overlook this, you'll have a great day. If not, then either grab some flippers or find another island to go to that has fine sand.

We didn't bring our kids on this trip but a lot of the kids we did see appeared to have a great time and I didn't see any stressed parents on the boat or island.

Lastly, there are no toilets on the island but staff run you back to the boat if you need to go.

This trip would have to be one of the best day trips that we have done in our 3 visits to Fiji. Just perfect. The crew outstanding,And the hour massage on the island was to die for. Perfect from pick up to drop off. Will definately do again ...(.the bbq lunch on the beach was great.)

Very good agreed - especially the staff attention to your personal comfort. What I would have liked to have known before commiting to the whole day was this - you get only a touch over three hours at the Island. We Left our Denarau hotel room around 9am and returned about 5pm - give or take a few minutes - 5 hours in transit one way or another, three hours on the coral quay. The very capable and personal staff made it easy of course, but by the time you have lunch, watch the coconut demo, have a snorkel and then turn around twice it's time to go. Please consider a faster, bigger vessel with - yes 'tourists' just like us, and spend more time on a bigger Island. PS. The adrenalin BelMare private day cruise was AWSOME!!! Best day ever!!! - but sit down when they quote you the price.
