“Finding Nemo great with young kids”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

Wanted a cruise to suit my 3 year old twins.. This was a half day cruise and what a fantastic morning we had. The cruise to the island was lovely and air conditioned if that is what you would prefer than the deck then a small boat to the island. Activities on the island were snorkelling and a glass bottom boat and the kids loved it. It was just long enough for the young kids you will love it.

“Amazing Trip !”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

This was included on my awesome adventures "tropical awegasm" package. It was amazing ! YOu are picked up from Mana Island and transferred to the sail boat where at first I thought there wasn't enough room for so many people but it turned out ok, everyone got a seat. All food, soft drinks and alcohol (beer and a glass of champagne) are free all day, you just help yourself from the coolers. You sail for about 30-45 min and go to the island that castaway was filmed on.

You have an hour to explore the island and they give you free snorkelling gear. For those of you who like adventure you can take a hike up the hill and almost reach the top of the rock. Although I wouldn't recommend doing this in flip flops and in the heat like I did with a few people.

You are back in the boat again and lunch was lovely and there was so much food! Fresh fruit, salad and a BBQ. There was something for everyone. After lunch you visit a Fijian village and take part in a Kava ceremony. There are women in the village selling souvenirs from 5-50 dollars. I bought a photoframe ($20) and a few bracelets ($5 each). You can wander around the village and take some pictures, the children are really friendly and give you a high five and BULA ! welcome when you get off the boat.

After then you sail for another half hour or so. Our group asked to stop the boat and jump into the water for a swim and the Fijian men sang and played songs on the way back. Such an amazing day - Highly recommended !

“Great to see island resorts off Dennarau”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

We used South Seas cruises to visit neighboring islands and resorts on a day trip, and for this trip picked Castaway Island Resort - what a fantastic place!...just as you would have imagined with wonderful beach and bar/restaurant. The day trip included lunch at the resort on Castaway, and the food was first class. South Seas uses the catamarans as a ferry service between Port Denarau and the various islands in Mamanuca Group (all within 1/2 and full day trip distance). Worth checking the schedules and routes, as the time it takes to get to an island depends on which one you you choice along the route (Castaway took 1hr 50min, and was about 5th/6th on the route - Treasure Island is the closest (other than the back-pack South Sea Island) and took 20min. Great service on board, and comfortable. Will be trying other islands on the next visit, as the South Seas Cats are a great way to experience other islands/resorts in single day trips.

“Very good cruises”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

We used this company for 2 cruises - a half day at South Sea Island and full day on Seaspray. Both were very enjoyable days and the staff of SSC were very nice and friendly.
Only negative was that when we had to reschedule our South sea Island cruise because of rain, the staff tried to push us into a different day to the one we wanted, citing 'the cruise ship is in town so there was no cruise'. But there was a cruise on the day I wanted (and no cruise ship in sight) so i don't really know what that was all about, but i shouldn't have had to argue my point to get the reschedule I wanted.
