Icacos is a beach heaven off the coast of main Puerto Rico Island. We accidentally visited this place when our trip to Vieques was cancelled due to weather. And we were delighted we visited this place. The water is crystal clear with shades of blue and green, the beach is white sand and extremely pretty. And the fish is simply amazing, though I was looking for turtles but with the amount of fish that surrounded me on snorkelling, totaly not complaining.

We chartered a boat over to Icacos. I would highly recommend Captain Ron from Caribbean Reef Charters (they have a Facebook page). We snorkeled and had a great time!

My husband, 4 y.o., 5.5 y.o. and myself took a water taxi to Icacos. It was absolutely stunning! It's a small area, so gets crowded and the locals are wild, but it's entertaining. The water is very warm and calm. The sand is white, which is beautiful against the turquoise water. Bring everything you need. All the locals had umbrellas and coolers full of food and beer. My husband and 5.5 y.o. snorkeled the entire time, but there isn't too much to see. Don't bother bringing boogie boards. It's too crowded and there aren't big waves. Have fun!

We wanted to snorkel on our trip to Puerto Rico and chose to go to Icacos instead of Vieques or Culabra because it was cheaper. Even though we had a boat and could get to the off shore coral, the snorkling was subpar. I wouldn't recommend going, it just wasn't worth all the effort to go there.

A paradise to go snorkeling. Crystal clear waters and white sand. Ideal to go with children, friendly iguanas. Good for hiking. Love it!
